Brandon Copeland Busted for PEDs

And we thought only the CB position would be a problem going into week 1.

That's two LB's down in less than a week.

Was just about to post this. Not the best news of the day. No wonder he was on the practice field a bit more than usual. Jets knew this was coming.

Brandon Copeland Suspended Four Games by NFL

BY AN NFL SPOKESPERSON:

Brandon Copeland of the New York Jets has been suspended without pay for the first four games of the 2019 regular season for violating the NFL policy on performance-enhancing substances.

Copeland is eligible to participate in all preseason practices and games. He will be allowed to return to the Jets’ active roster on Monday, Oct. 7, following the team’s Week 5 game at Philadelphia.

First Avery and now Copeland.

Must have known something signing LBs recently.

Dang.

Now those stories about Copeland allegedly being on the bubble make more sense. Jets must have known this was coming.

Jenkins, Luvu, Basham and Polite should be the OLBs on the initial 53.

Dumb!  Rule of thumb...if you're doing something and you know it's wrong, don't do it!   More often than not, you're going to get caught.  Hurts himself, the team and the fans.

he's basically hanging on by thread.  he was doing what thought he needed to do to stay on the team.

And the door opens up for Mr. Polite.

Cashman is the more likely replacement with Polite assuming heavier workload on passing downs.

I don't think Cashman can hold up on the outside.  I would expect this to help Langi and Basham.   Luvu and Polite are the other OLB.  I do think Stephone Anthony has some experience outside, but I don't think that included much success.

Players like Jenkins, Basham, Kaufusi and Luvu will have their reps increased.
And maybe someone like Mosley (Jamey) or Langi may make the cut on the outside

He went to UPenn and interned at UBS as an investment banker when he was in college. He teaches a financial literacy class to students there now. He's extremely smart.

Good thing we brought him back on the cheap on just a 1-year deal.  Makes him expendable.

Bummer

I think he doesn’t count vs the 53 while suspended, correct?
