I see it that way.  Split with the Pats.  Split with Dallas/Philly.  Beat the 3 AFC teams we will be favored against (Jax will be 2-5) and who weren't that much better than we were last year.  Win all our home games.  Go 1-3 on the road.

SAR I

that 7 game stretch is the key to the season IMHO.  If we go 5-2 as you say, I agree we can win the division, as the next 6 games after that are all "winnable" games.

now, if we go 1-6 like 2014 or 2-5 like 2016, it won't matter much how "easy" those games are.

Pretty sure all of what I said is true.

In the final four games of 2018, he completed less than 53% of his passes for 6.6 yards per attempt.

I cannot say if we will be 0-6, 3-3 or 6-0 as of this minute. We have the talent and team to do any of those. It all depends on how it all comes together and if this CS really has the smarts we think they do. Hoping it is our turn to be good for once. We deserve it.

A good QB will at least give us a puncher’s chance against any team in the league. Without that, you lose any game the defense can’t hold the opponent under 20.

Nothing like hard hitting analysis from a "fan" like "Dallas will roll us for sure".

Nothing wrong with a negative take but what exactly is that? It's just crap. Gfy

While this was obviously a troll post, the only games that look like obvious losses to me are @ Pats and @ Eagles. Every other game is very winnable and a realistic goal is 3-3.

Not a troll. Fan looking at hole-filled roster.

Definitely hole-filled. But so are 90% of the teams in the league.

We will win games we shouldn’t win. No playoffs but feisty. Next year is go time.

Despite the unfounded ridicule, the OP was making a very fair point.

0 -6 start is not impossible

1-5 isnt super unrealistic assuming a win over the bills

2-4 might be beat case scenario. We beat the bills and maybe browns/cowboys on a good day

3-3 or better? Not happening but ill be the first to be happy to admitting that I was wrong

I really appreciate it, HighPitch, I really do. Amazing the amount of vitriol here and everywhere in the USA. I think people are deeply unhappy.

I just posted what I see about our upcoming stretch, and invited other opinions. Some of you have seriously anger problems. Cursing at me? Really? Classless idiots. Oh well. I'll keep posting here for the rest of you good apples.

It's definitely happened most of our lives but nothing like the last few years.  His teams could not handle any type of prosperity.

Not being a sad sack SOJ loser here, I promise. Just a question, looking at our absolutely brutal schedule, how do you NOT have us at 0-6 going into week 7?

What am I missing? Bills have one of the top defenses in the league, revamped lines and new weapons, as well as one of the top QBs from last year's second half. Browns are better all over. Eagles are back to Superbowl shape or somewhere thereabouts, and Dallas will roll us for sure. Add to that New England twice and I am thinking that the return to the playoffs storyline will have to wait a year or two.

Am I crazy? We will see. What do you have our record at after 6 games?

I'll wait and see and root for the green and white.

DC

its doesnt help writing "not being sad sack SOJ loser" when you are being a "sad sack SOJ loser"....grow a pair

I don't have the foggiest.  That's what makes it so intriguing.

Yeah, sure i hear you with the stats and all. But like once he gets better accuracy and better teammates and learns how to NFL i’m sure the touchdowns will rain down.

Pappi, tell me what the jets are gonna do in the first 6 games.

1 beat bills- ok, its not crazy but its no lock

2 beat eagles - unlikely

3. Beat the browns - its possible the browns beat themselves but on paper the browns are one of the best in the game

4. Beat dallas - again possible but theres a good chance we come up short

56. Beat pats- no, luckynif we split but losing both is more likely than winning both. Any moron has to agree.

so there you have it. 1 or 2 wins in the first 6.

0 wins is far more likely than 5 wins, no?

it doesnt look good.

On Josh Allen, I may be confusing the fact that he was one of the top Fantasy QBs in the last half of last year. (8 rushing TDs on the year, by the way!)

Sorry, let me update this pessimistic post with more pessimism. I think there's like 60-80% chance we start 0-7.

Two reasons: our O-line, and our CBs, who face:

  • Week 2: Odell Beckham Jr., Jarvis Landry, David Njoku
  • Week 3: Antonio Brown, Josh Gordon, Julian Edelman
  • Week 5: Amari Cooper, Michael Gallup, Randall Cobb
  • Week 6: Alshon Jeffrey, Desean Jackson, Zach Ertz
  • Week 7: Patriots Round Two

I mean, holy Buttfumble.

We will sprinkle in some unexpected wins to go with the nut kicking losses.

What's up guys?

Yeah, they're gonna be 0-6(probably 0-7, Jacksonville is decent and they're at home).

Even if Darnold is cleared to come back for Philly, that doesn't fix the atrocious OL, no ability to rush the passer and CBs that can't cover anyone
