The deadline is 4pm, right?

They always get announced later. I'm sure all of the paperwork is turned in, it just takes a while for the media to get it and relay it to us.

See I don’t think that’s true.

The Ghost was the Hackenberg of OLB/DEs.

Almost all his production came in about 2 college games, he looked like Tarzan played like Jane. Like Hack.

Polite was a pretty productive player at UF but looks like a totally different guy now. Tentative, lost, confused.

That’s not a function of the Combine or pro days. He’s not the same player he was in college. Weird.

Hack had one good season, and was on the path to 1st overall. Then O’Brien left and he stayed after all the scandal fallout.

Polite also had one good year, The Red flags had to be the 5 second 40.

He’s still an Hack-esque pick. The new pose of Gase and Douglas, has shot up Dodge, know as Florham Park. We are being dragged kicking and screaming into a competent organisation.

Look, they both suck, I'm not wasting anyones time, mine included, looking for fine details of who is better or worse.

Macc had better early picks, Macc made better trades, Macc signed some FAs who worked out and some who didnt, while Idzik hardly tried to fix the roster.

A podcast by someone I dont even know isnt factual proof of anything other than its that guys opinion

I never said the podcast was indisputable “proof”, just that the substance of it, that was backed up by many facts, made a strong case that Mike Maccagnan was even a worse GM than Idzik which in turn could make him the worst GM of all time.

You’re saying “ahh he made some trades signed some FAs some worked out, some didn’t”....that almost sounds like he was 50-50, not the probable 95% Wrong 5% right.

Also, to totally disparage someone’s ideas just because they came off a “podcast”, that you didn’t hear, is idiotic.

So you’re saying that someone should believe Bill Polian when on a national radio broadcast he defends up and down the “job” Todd Bowles did with the Jets over 4 years or when Bruce Arians, this time on a national TV broadcast says “Todd Bowles is doing a great job”? During the game he said that Bowles record was something around 14-30, but record aside most people can see he is a lousy “coach” and probably the only reason he has had coaching jobs in the NFL is because he must have juice with people way up in the league.

”Fake” news has now even become part of sports, when they want to protect certain people.

I’d rather listen to virtually ANY podcast than listen to the lines of sh*t mentioned above.

That scarecrow looking f*ck was far and away the worse of the two turds we just had in charge of this team.  There isn't a case to be made.  The 2014 draft alone destroys any podcasters hot take.

The NY Jets have announced 38 player moves to get down to the 53 man limit which was required by 4pm today. We had previously posted about the Parry Nickerson trade as well as Eli McGuire and Jachai Polite being cut. The bottom line is this isn’t a good day if you were a Mike Maccagnan draft pick.

Brandon Copeland and Chris Herndon are on the reserved \ suspended list so they don’t count against the roster limit right now. International player Valentine Holmes was waived, he is a practice squad candidate as well.

The Jets waived both Luke Falk and Davis Webb. It is expected they will try and sign Luke Falk to the practice squad.  Charone Peake was a mild surprise cut, it was thought he would stick around because of his strong special teams play. The team is also moving on from tight end Eric Tomlinson.

You can expect the Jets to be very active on the waiver wire. So more moves should be announced tomorrow. Here are the moves from today, with players grouped by positions:

Falk, Luke QB 2 Waived

Some additional roster thoughts from Brian Costello and Connor Hughes. Visit our forums for more NY Jets talk.

Kyle Phillips, an undrafted DL out of Tennessee, is still on the roster. He played his ass off Thursday night. I would not be surprised if he is cut tomorrow and then brought back on practice squad. Jets probably trying to slip him through. That extra day helps sometimes. #nyj

— Brian Costello (@BrianCoz) August 31, 2019

The #Jets have 6 of 22 players left on the roster from their 2015, 2016 and 2017 drafts.

DL Leonard Williams (2015)
LB Jordan Jenkins (2016)
OT Brandon Shell (2016)
P Lachlan Edwards (2016)
S Jamal Adams (2017)
S Marcus Maye (2017)

That was actually PROVEN.

I heard a podcast with this kid Michael Nania who quantified all of Idzik’s and Maccagnan’s decisions a few months ago....Idzik was better.

So there you have it...Maccagnan WORST GM in NFL history who was coupled with a mumbler who according to Mike Westhoff  in Year 1....”doesn’t know how to make an adjustment...the guy is going to be a Disaster”.

And when he wasn’t “not making adjustments” he was playing a so-called Center, FOR 9 CONSECUTIVE WEEKS, who was firing snaps over, under and to the side of virtually the ONLY player that mattered on the Roster, risking serious injury to said player.  “Always play the Vet” Bowles...protecting that job.  Like dressing up 30-zip deficits by running out the FG unit...”least we didn’t lose by 30”.

Things can ONLY be looking up for the Jets at this point now that those 2 are finally gone.

22 hours ago, JoeWillieWhiteShoesHOF said:

Sorry but it was already quantified and proven that Maccagnan was in fact worse than Idzik.

22 hours ago, JoeWillieWhiteShoesHOF said:

Guy did an analysis, was on a podcast.  Was totally logical.  Idzik edged Maccagnan out because basically Idzik was trying to save cap space most of the time and not looking to make a big splash.  Basically every time Maccagnan wrote a big check from the Jets account it was tons of money flushed down the toilet ie Wilkerson and on and on....then on to his drafts where a drunken Monkey who threw sh*t against a wall could have done better.

21 hours ago, JoeWillieWhiteShoesHOF said:

But you see I listened and though my interpretation may be subjective I found the arguments made in the podcast to be very well thought out and therefore highly persuasive therefore you wouldn’t compare it to a “earth is flat” podcast.  You didn’t listen to it so you can either trust what I’m saying or you don’t have to, and what I heard was close to an air-right case that Maccagnan happens to probably be the worst guy to have been mistakenly given a GM job in NFL history.

And this is subjective again.  I wouldn’t hire Maccagnan to catch the drip that stinks coming off the back of a garbage truck, at least Idzik supposedly has some math skills.

Both horrible supposed Front Office personnel beyond words.....but Maccagnan is the Worst.

3 hours ago, JoeWillieWhiteShoesHOF said:

His analysis was based on the totality of both Maccagnan’s and Idzik’s “work”, not just horrific drafting, both very close there.

Maccagnan’s horrific Free Agent moves put him over the top.

Nah, you werent saying its been proven.
