Gase Presser 9.2.19

Interesting when asked if Qvale hadn't been placed on IR yet was a sign he would be back in a couple of weeks (as opposed to 8 weeks for short-term IR):

"We'll see what happens. We still have time to make some more moves". Said that with a wry smile on his face, so it looks like something else could be in the works.

Cimini  with the negative slant.  I have no problem with them keeping certain matters in house.

The Jets leaked the info about Polite's fines as a way to save face for cutting a high third round pick. Not confirming it is just back-tracking. It was a bit of a dick move.

If Polite was even late 2 or 3 times then it says a lot.  But how could the $100K number be true.  In essentially one month of TC how many meetings could there be, and if was fined $5K or even $10K for each one he would have to have been late at least 10 times.  Thats a preposterous amount.

Clearly he was a disciplinary issue, but the $100K seems difficult to believe.

Other comments from Gase:

Is Bennett Jackson a corner or safety:  "We will see; adds a lot of flexibiltiy.

On 5 WRs on the roster. "Thats where we are today.  I am always a fan of more wideouts are better."

Seems like Gase really like Berrios.  Worked him out when he was at Miami, spent a lot of time with him.  We (Phins) were really interested in him.

OL turned over quick.  One of our strengths now.  Someone goes down we have good players to fill in.

On Kalill not playing in preseason.  He has been practicing.  Tempo we go at against our defense feel like a game.  They will be fine.

They released Polite because he sucked.

and obviously is a major-league a$$hole.  Fined $100,000k for whatever team infractions..  Dimwit who didn't learn from his interview failures how to act professionally in a work environment.

Hey Mac:  F-ck You.

Especially this kind of matter.

No matter how bad of a ****up a player is, you keep it in house.  Other non-****up guys will think twice about going to a team if the dirty laundry is always being broadcast to the media.

we know what happended and we know why it happened.  Guy has all the talent in the world and the dedication of a sloth.

Time to #moveon

It could be 25k per lateness and that would be 4 times. 5-10k sounds a little light of a fine when you are trying to set examples for players to be responsible.

Never speak ill of the dead,  Polite is dead to the Jets, but no need to dance on the grave of his Jets' career. Gase gets that, Cimini doesn't.

Rich being Rich.

He was clear to anyone who listened to him.  Poor Rich didn't hear him flat out say he was a knucklehead and they dont want knuckleheads.

He said, as he should, that he didn't want to get into details of the fines.  Never said they weren't true which would have if they werent.

Gase has been smart with what he says to the press so far, Cimini wants him to lower himself to his level

Knew the beard would be gone for the opener though.  Why didnt RC dig deep on that?

Fabienne: Whose motorcycle is this?

Butch: It's a chopper, baby.

Fabienne: Whose chopper is this?

Butch:  It's Jachai's.

Fabienne: Who's Jachai?

Butch: Jachai's dead, baby. Jachai is dead.
