No argument. If you like him ok with me. I just don’t think we need a showboat. He can lead cheers if he wants to. I just tune him out. I’d love to see the entire stadium tune him out.

I got my STs in '77.

We had the cheer, led by two brothers at Shea.

Its a tradition, wheres the showboating.

Colts did it.  Broncos do it.  Others do it.

This fanbase actually has people complaining.

You are absolutely correct. There was actually three that started it. There was an elderly gentleman named Conrad (really nice man) who had an old school megaphone who started with All Right all right then went into the J E T S JETS JETS JETS. Then a a younger guy with red hair who had an ill fitting Jets helmet without the face mask would get up on the railing and start the chant as well blowing a whistle. Sections 26 & 28 at Shea. Way before Fireman Ed ( who I actually don’t mind its all for rooting for the team)

Growing up, I thought it was pretty cool. It’s part of Jets culture. Not sure why some have negative views of him. I don’t know anything about him though aside from him being on someone’s shoulder leading the Jets chant.

Anyone that has the privilege to go to the game tomorrow should leave the game barely able to talk. Bring the noise. We deserve a team that fights to the whistle.
