Popular Post nico002
Did nothing to earn a spot over Harrison who has played well since he got the nod. Was pathetic today. 14 2
flgreen
Of all the crazy threads today, this one I agree with. Of course no one replied to it. lol 90% of the pressure on Sam today, came right up the gut. Kalil was horrible. Harrison played very well during the pre-season, and at the end of last season, Harrison should start next week, or expect the same. 2
Untouchable
He was a turd today. Has done absolutely nothing so far to unseat Harrison. But they aren’t benching him making $8 million. Could turn out to be the first sh*t move on Douglas’ resume. 2 1

Irish Jet
Given what our record might look like in a few weeks he could well retire before the season’s over. I was worried when he wasn’t ready for preseason games. Think he’s either rushed the return or he’s just completely done. The group needs chemistry whoever we go with, you could tell they’d never played together.

usapaw
No argument, he su*ked and Douglas is not looking like the hero many claimed him to be. Terrible signing.
fusionCA
he was awful , defenders go past him like he is not there. so this is JD first 2 moves signing Kalil and the awful kicker good job Joe

flgreen
Geez, if your going to give a washed up ex-bowler a couple of million, bring Nick back for the money, at least he's one of us

Jets723
He is either rusty for misses all that time or he is done. Either way Harrison needs to be ready. Whether people want to admit it or not Harrison did a decent job last year and Sam looked much better once Long wasn’t oversnapping him every play lol

I don't blame Douglas for taking a shot - Even with Harrison's looking okay I think everyone still considered it a major hole. He's desperately looking for stopgaps to the ridiculously short roster he inherited but with hindsight it was always a lot to ask of Kalil to come in and contribute on such short notice. It's also not really a position you can ease your way into either.

flgreen
I basically agree with you. But as Parcells used to say, "when a guy starts thinking about retiring, he's done." If Kalil is the starting C next week, Sam gets his butt kicked again. Kalil, right now is here only for the money. Give the hungry young guy the job who earned it in camp. @Irish Jet
jetscrazey
Kalil should've had to earn his starting spot. Instead he was handed to it on a silver platter and clearly isn't ready to play.
joewilly12
He should have stayed retired with the way he played today.

shuler82
Guy hasn't played all preseason and we were up against a good defense. If it continues, by all means, let's pile on. I'm willing to give him a week 1 pass though.

Was constantly harassed by the Bills D line. No QB is going to succeed with the pressure he was under today. And even when Sam got a few plays in, he was running for his life, had to to constantly improvise in the pocket. Sam wasn’t great today. Granted. But he looked incredibly gun shy and had no confidence behind this putrid line.

He was pressured 9 times and sacked 4 times in the whole game. That’s not insane especially when most of those occurred in his first few drives. The OL IS NEARLY half the offense and they were a mess the entire game. It’s mind boggling Bell had a decent game. Sam couldn’t even throw any passes over 10 yards since he had no time. This is going to be a very long season.

He underthrew a wide open Robby twice. He overthrew him once. He got 6 passes blocked at the line. The OL isn’t good. It wasn’t as terrible as people act like it was, especially in the 2nd half.
