It really wasn't just a case of missed assignments. They were running through our guys like they were children. You can only do so much pre-snap.

Pretty evident that between Gase and Darnold the decision was made at the half to just abandon any long developing plays.

I'm talking about all the times we had a free rusher where no blocker even attempted to touch them. That's on the QB and center to work out the blocking assignments presnap. It's mostly on Darnold here given how long Kalil has been here.

our offense scored 8 pts all day? Bell put out, Darnold did not.  If you want to put it on Gase go ahead but darnold was not on point with his passes or pocket pressure. over 3 minutes and 2 timeouts, the game was in his hands for redemption for a long day of struggles and couldn't do it.

Darnold played well with the play calls given. Gase needed more shots down field to Robby and Quincy. Too much dink and dunk. The 4 points Vedvik left out there would have been enough to win it. So the loss of Mosely and the addition of Vedvik lost the game today. Not Sam.

Yet he had a chance to win it at the end and he came up short. Stop making excuses for Darnold today, he wasn't very good by any metric.

Darnold missed a lot of open guys, threw off his back foot all day and held on to the ball too long.

Played like a rookie. Hopefully he shakes it off. Gas clearly knew it would be a problem so he called a screen every other play.

No... Allen played like a rookie, turning it over 4 times and throwing 2 other dropped picks. Darnold played it conservative considering his protection, the defense he was facing, and the fact that the jets were protecting a lead for most of the game. He overthrew Robby in a deep ball and was not on his sharpest. Pretty much the same game Rodgers has against the bears.

He missed open guys all day. That's not being conservative.

No he wasn't perfect. He was much better than our Kicker though. We lost by 1. Kicker left 4 points out on the field incase you didn't hear.

Sometimes starters are a tad rusty in week 1 due to not playing much in the preseason. Be patient.

How many points did our offense create today? The only TD was gifted to them with good field position.

If our offense is only mediocre today we win in a blowout.

I’m not looking to argue here. Just explain your reasoning here to me.

The offense scored 8 points. 8.

How can you say the QB did enough to win the game?

Because he did as much as Josh Allen. We lost by 1. Kicker fvked up 4 pts we earned. Dead horse anyone??

I'll say 2 Tds, and an awesome 2 pt conversion. The PI on Enunwa was a bs call. The one to Griffin was a beauty from Darnold. Bad call took it away.

That's some crazy logic. We never sniffed the redzone except for when we scored. I'll bet Edwards leg is wrapped in an ice tomb right now.

Don't forget that Anderson also dropped a TD on a perfect throw

He’s considering that “missing” Anderson- even though it hit him in stride in the hands. The DB made a perfect play. But this poster expects Darnold to predict that and actually overthrow Robby by a foot so he has to dive for it and avoid the DB

It is literally Darnold’s job to hit the open receiver.
