Look, there is no question the Oline was getting killed and Sam had no time, but I really dont understand the lack of downfield plays.  

On top of that, when you see the our 5 OL are being beat by 4 DL, why did we continue to go empty - why not put in a blocking TE and max protect a few times and see if robby or Q can get open down the field?

Really didnt understand the amount of short passes we ran....very disappointing start to the season.

Bates was terrible and definitely needed to go.

I have yet to see any evidence Gase is actually a good offensive mind, however, and one week in this looks a lot more like the Tannehill/Dolphins offense than whatever credit Gase gets for Peyton Manning's greatness.

No the kicker is terrible. Fckin atrocious actually. Jets played good enough to win today. D had like 5 turnovers and Bell is a beast. Much better off than we were last year.

Darnold looked great those last 4 games. How does today compare? Bates may have figured him out while Gase is clueless.

Chill out, Darnold looked incredible all off season and pre season. He has a meh game against maybe the #1 pass D in the NFL

Darnold wasn't great but the offensive line was well...offensively bad.  A lot of what made Darnold look bad was the poor play of the offensive line.  Batted down passes are either because the QB is short (like a certain shortstuff who threw 3 INTs today) or the offensive line isn't doing their job.

If it weren’t for a miracle throw it up for grabs 2 point conversion, the defense out scored the offense today.

I figured Bates out last year. He called offense the same as Vedvik kicks FGs. Fck Bates and Bowles they were atrocious.

This game magnified the Jets biggest weaknesses.  O line, CB, edge rusher and WR.   The problems many refused to acknowledge were highlighted today.  It’s not a playoff roster.

Bates was not the answer but gase after doing zero for three years with the offense in miami had big alarm bells and as usual, as always as a fan base after a week in camp everyone loved the guy and blamed his fails on previous players.
