This is not just an Idzik Bowles Maccagnan Gase problem.

The Jets drafted Polite at 68 and he didn't make the team. How does this happen?

The Jets went into the season functionally without a kicker. How does this happen?

The Jets did a trade with Belichick. How does this happen?

Actual answer: well, maybe I remember, but I'm not gonna tell you. It's a week into the season and we're 0-1 and looking at Mayfield on Monday night followed by Brady. A couple of assholes playing irl Battleship with a flaming trash barge and there goes the Jetsiest season yet and the explanation we get is maybe I remember, but I'm not gonna tell you. This is what happens when you've got a chain of organizational command that is visually best represented by the gif of the chimpanzee peeing in his own mouth. Nobody knows who's responsible for anything. Nobody even knows who to ask who's responsible for anything.

As someone who has been hyper critical of Gase and his comments during media availability, it's only fair to say I was impressed with some of the things he said in his presser this morning. He made mention of himself not doing a good enough job to put the offense in positions to succeed in a number of instances in the game, specifically called out the 3rd and 1 on the last possession.

He's a very odd guy in many ways but one of the strangest is that in the same media session, you can easily go back and forth between likeing and hating the guy. There are moments when he is cracking jokes and being genuine, then others where he gets extremely defensive and acts like a dick.

You know who else took all the heat and wouldn't hold a player accountable? Todd Bowels. He constantly talked himself down and how he had to do better. He used to constantly praise  the team after terrible loses.  They never responded to that. Maybe some teams do. Accountable: This HC has a career losing record and is not much better than Bowles which is not saying much. The Dolphins owner held the train wreck he coached accountable and fired the loser. The guy has done nothing other than serve as Peyton Manning’s stool pigeon. He already blew a 16 point lead as HC in his first game. Where is his accountability. That’s right, he never accepts blame because it’s always the other guys fault. That act gets old quick and when dealing with grown men, then act like one and call them out to their face and not the media. Or how about you sit the guy during the game. This HC is a cardboard tough guy, double talker, passes the blame, excuse maker who throws hissy fits each day. Learn to act like a leader who leads by example and makes no excuses and wins games!
