Supposedly the burst Spleen always happens in the first 21 days from symptom onset so that is why 3 weeks is the earliest.

He isn’t going to lose significant weight, he is going to be hooked up to IVs and have a specific meal plan to prevent that.

I think you wait and see where you are at after 6 or 7 games. If you are 1-5, 2-6 put him on IR. If by some miracle they are like 4-2 5-2 then see where he is at and if he can go, then go. 

Thing is you really have to be careful with this. If he is even the slightest bit off, don’t play him. It is just not worth the risk.

Couple things, 1.) it was obvious something was wrong with Sam, he looked unsure in the pocket, his throws were weak, and his vision wasn’t what you’d expect; 2.) he’s out 3-4 weeks if the season can vibe salvaged, if not he’s out the maximum amount of time he needs. No point getting him killed.

The fact that he still didn't necessarily play THAT badly is a testament. Jets almost still could have won that game. I wonder if that's why Gase now played it more conservatively with him?

Either way, don't bring him back unless he's for sure 100%.
