*****Official New York Jets vs Cleveland Browns Game Thread*****

If Browns get a TD next drive, I'm shutting it off and watching something that is not going to make me angry and want to bash my head against a steel wall.

Gase was an absolutely awful hire. Awful. It's going to get and stay ugly for a while, bud.

The thing is these new regimes come in, say they don't have their players when they fail and then turn over half the roster where it should happen or not.

How can we tell? The OL ruins the entire offense. Can’t get an idea of how well he can coach with this horrible of an OL.

what is with this team and letting rushers run free unblocked?  they did the same sh*t last week

The line is horrible

but that’s on the coach, both sacks were by Unblocked guys coming, though even if they weren’t, there were 2 more guys coming who easily beat their blocks

Oh man, I feel bad for Siemian right now.

Maybe Darnold's mono isn't such a bad thing for this team after all.

Holy crap.

It's a good thing for Sam, it gets him through the 2nd year of his rookie contract without exposure to game-related injury - and without exposing him as good or bad. He'll be asking for a renegotiated contract by next year, ffs. Then the "win while your QB is on his rookie contract" window closes.

im really confused by the protection schemes the jets are using, like at some point you have to have a check to keep guys in to help in protection.. cant have a 5 man protection and slide the wrong way.

I'd imagine at least some part of missing blocks that badly is poor coaching.

Gase the effing genius...8 rushers get to the qb untouched...brilliant

I like the fact that we are playing players based on how they are playing instead of just letting the high paid vet play, but this offense looks absolutely terrible. It was a long time since we looked this bad on O...

The fact that an offensive genius literally cant manufacture a few calls to get some positive yardage on the opening drive is literally depressing.  This sh*t is amazing man

Defense needs to have an insane game to win... no doubt about it...we may put up 6 points on offense

I've never wanted to be proven so unbelievably wrong than my hate of this hire... but holy crap.

It's clear the team still has no clue what's going on.  This OL is bad, but it's not that they're even getting beat.  Both plays had completely unblocked rushers that no one was even looking at.  Everyone's totally baffled.

Because the only time he's ever fielded anything close to competent the ghost of Peyton Manning was the one calling the shots. Also, while he was supposed to be building a competent team he was spending his time getting the GM fired to bring in "his" guy that'll give him a longer leash on his tenure here.

Not a big Gase fan but the bad OL is squarely on Maccagnan.

It’s like that scene in The Longest Yard when the OL tried to kill Adam Sandler for being a pussy.
