He just doesn’t make impact plays. Welcome to the unfortunate reality. I say he’s a liability because his game is based almost entirely on blowing up plays at the LOS. You saw all game yesterday how that can be a problem. Even if you blow up 5 plays over the course of a couple of drives, the one time you guess wrong and Izzo gets a 41 yard gain because you are out of position and the secondary is exposed, you’ve negated the positive. You know when Jamal Adams would have terrorized other teams? When we had Revis and Cromartie in their primes and a risk taker SS could make plays without worrying about leaving a guy wide open because of one bad step.

The whole secondary is pretty much hot garbage. Guys like Maye don’t need to be drafted in the second round. Maye was in open field trying to make a decision what path a player much faster than him was going to take. He had no chance. The culprit on that play was Hewitt who blew the coverage and gave OBJ a free release. Hewitt even admitted after the game it was his fault. Maye has been a very good safety when on the field for us. That’s poor scheming.

How can we replace that type of production? Fun fact: In his 3rd season, Jamal Adams still has 0 INTs when a game's outcome was in question, and 2 INTs total. Yeah, but you didn't see Pat Patriot running his mouth on the sidelines yesterday, did you?

Doesn't change the equation...unless they want to move him to the OL...and even then he'd show more fight than the turnstiles working there now.
