Darnold not cleared for contact

"The worst coach ever who will never coach again", Rex Ryan took Mark ******* Sanchez to back to back AFCCG's and it's too much to ask Adam Gase to score a TD with Luke Falk as his QB.  The same Luke Falk who started all 4 years in college and threw for 14,000+ yard and 119 TD's in his career at WSU.

The difference between Trevor Siemian and Luke Faulk in negligible.   In fact, they played in the same Football game together on the same team.  Luke looked significantly better as did the offense with him under center.  Luke was a 6th round pick out of Washington St. that many people had as a sleeper pick.  Garnder Minshew was a 6th round pick who went to the same college, he's 2-1.   Kyle Allen was a UDFA and is 2-0 for the Panthers.   Amazing how those Head Coaches arent just shivering in the feedle position like Adam Gase.

Minshew and Allen actually have NFL caliber arms - Falk does not.   Minshew and Allen are playing for teams that have a playoff caliber roster, the Jets do not.

Ummm, having the #1 defense and #1 rushing attack in 2009 and #3 defense and #2 rushing attack in 2010 may have had a little to do with Sanchez' and the team's success.

that being said, I was never a Gase "fan"...   only thing i liked was that he was not a DC but an OC...  Manning liked him and that was better than a stick in the eye, but of unknown value...

The interesting thing is, who else other than Manning, sang the praises of Gase. Mariucci, That's all i can think off.

The person I'm arguing with believes the Jets are going to make the playoffs.

Besides, neither have drastically better arms.  1 was a 6th round pick for a reason.  The other went undrafted, for a reason.

Luke Falk was 20/28 for 200 yards in spot work during his debut vs. the Browns.  He can complete enough passes in the NFL to move the chains and score a TD or too.

The Jets had the best running attack under Rex Ryan with Mark Sanchez as their QB.

Thanks for proving my point.

The worst part about the Darnold injury is that it gives Gase a built in excuse. I fully expect him to be back next year unless the team goes 2-14 or worse.

Indeed.  The worst part of the 2nd year starting QB being out and not getting valuable experience and our season being over is that some people may not blame the coach playing the practice squad QB for it.  That is, indeed, the worst part of this.

Gase should clearly be able to do more than he has even with subpar talent and a QB3.  The only thing I'll say is that when the Jets had just about everyone they were shutting out the Bills 16-0, and they have the best QB performance of any team against the Bills this year.

I wouldn't put a ton of stock in that....but it does mean something.

dont ask me...

i wasnt MEH on mccarthy too...

either way...   for me, Gase... i dunno...  even if he KNEW the OL was suck...     unless he was given immediate ability to make trades and such...   shrug...

its a mess...  not all of it is on him, ESPN (not be and end all, but...) rated our roster bottom 3.... 2 yrs running.

Those teams were well balanced and good. O, D and ST's.....should have kept Rex, and brought in Offensive guru.

Idk who’s fault it is but watching the film over and the combo of the scheme and players is horrendous. They are constantly getting beat, chasing their guys for no reason, should be staying in their lane. It’s just so bad.

Slauson was the worst of 'em, and he'd probably be our best linemen now.

Right and Vlad, but they both went on and still played in the league. I think Slauson and Vlad were with the Chargers and Bears, Slauson had to retire for head issues played for ten years or something?

Watching the first game and seeing repeated free runners come unblocked, my first thought was that it's on Sam, but it's been happening consistently no matter who is under center for the Jets. Makes me think the problem lies with Khalil and/or the coaches, because, as bad as the talent is, I don't recall the line being quite this bad a season ago.

It really looks like none of them know what the f*** they're doing out there.

I remember Vlad, lol.

Now we have at least 3 Vlad's on the line.

I’m not going to lie though, I’ve had it up to here with you guys ripping everyone and everything about this team except for Darnold.

1) He hasn't played a game this season where he didn't have a virus.  I'd say that's a good reason not to be negative about him until he gives us a real reason to be this season.

2) I agree there's a chance he isn't our franchise guy.  A pretty good chance too.  But we're not drafting a new QB anytime soon, so he's the guy we're building around.  Of course we're going to be optimistic that he's "the guy" despite his issues last year.  Because if he's not, we start all over as a franchise.

3) Laughable that you've had it "up to here" with the Darnold fans here.  90 % of your posts are unnecessary jabs at Darnold and repeating the same stuff over and over about how we don't know if Sam is a franchise QB yet and how Lamar Jackson and Josh Rosen have passed him.

We get it dude.  If you're tired of repeating these points over and over, you severely underestimate how tired we are of hearing them from you.  You're a broken record and I pretty much skip reading all of your Darnold-related posts at this point.

His peer group outside of Brady is Eli Manning and Andy Dalton.  lmfao
