You’re invited to celebrate his life on Tuesday. According to WFLA, Edward Pearson died last month at 80. He left no immediate survivors, so his funeral has been opened to the public. The political community rallied around the man’s story in a series of tweets. Former Democratic Congresswoman Gwen Graham urged the residents of Sarasota, where the funeral is being held, to show up for Pearson. “We can be his family,” Graham tweeted. Mr. Edward K. Pearson served our country. He has no family to attend his funeral. We can be his family.
