Bleedin Green
1. Jackson - He easily gets #1, because as some try to claim he is a running QB, which never last long in this league, and yesterday was obviously one of those kind of games, we have to remember that part of what caught most of the league off guard this season is how well he's done as a passer when staying in the pocket. It will really just be a question of whether he can continue to trend further in that direction to keep his career going long term. 2. Darnold - The health stuff obviously sucks, but he wrapped up last year stepping up his game, and what we've seen so far this year seems to suggest that is still continuing. Definitely still plenty of room for growth and improvement, but on a relative scale, he has shown more of that than the rest (except Jackson) so far. 3. Allen - While on a more successful team, to this day Allen still does not look an NFL-ready passer. He has shown an ability to step up with some big plays when they count, but a guy with more INTs than TDs in his second year is not a good look. Ultimately, still looks like the same exact guy in his second year as his first, which is not what you're really looking for from a QB. 4. Mayfield - came with a ton of hype due to last year and the numbers put up, but some also had brought up questions about bad games he had against tough opponents, which didn't improve as the season went on. Now this season, with even more help given to him and higher expectations, he has been nothing but outright awful. He leads the league in INTs, which more than doubles his TD total for the year. At this point, everyone's question is if the league has figured him out, which is never a good thing to hear. 5. Rosen - Yikes. Definitely been put in nothing but horrible situations, but ultimately his play has still been bad in every single way. Pretty much the league's worst, not just the class's.

Yeah I think you have to give Jackson the #1 at the moment. But feeling really good about Darnold
slimjasi
The only bad thing about finally drafting a franchise QB is that I am now forced to constantly and obsessively compare him to 4 other guys, ad nauseum, until the end of time.

But a top 10 qb will make the Jets entertaining for the next decade.

Most of them are just projecting love and hope toward the home team guy. How can you take anyone who has Darnold first or second seriously? There is no defending it, except by saying you're a hopeful Jets fan, hoping your guy turns into who you want him to be.. He wasn't the best last year, and he's played 2 games this year. Yet they KNOW. They just know it's true. I thought that about LJackson. A QB who doesn't throw well Or Allen, who has never been better than Darnold. On better teams. Who has yet to throw 300 yards. More importantly none of those two looks better in any way.

Some people doubted him though.
