Mike135
The one-win team with everything to play for Those Patriots square off Monday night against a Jets team previously left for dead along the New Jersey Turnpike. For all the quarterback woes stated above, new hope rises in Gang Green Land because of what Sam Darnold pulled off in Sunday's stunning upset of the Cowboys. Returning from his bout with mono, the second-year passer silenced a month's worth of Jets jokes with a flurry of crisp downfield darts, on-the-money deep shots and juicy decision-making. One-win teams are fully cooked -- save for the Jets. They're a newfangled offense with Darnold back from the brink, while the defense has held its own from wire to wire. It's a ridiculously tough ask, but clip the Patriots on Monday, and the 2-4 Jets would find themselves alive and kicking in a wide-open and ultra-strange AFC. Calling it right now: Jets 23, Patriots 20 https://amp.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000001066751/article/nfls-qb-problem-patriots-weak-spot-jets-golden-opportunity?networkId=4595&site=.news&zone=story&zoneUrl=url%3Dstory&zoneKeys=s1%3Dstory&env=&pageKeyValues=prtnr%3Don-my-radar&p.ct=On+My+Radar&p.adsm=false&p.tcm=%23000&p.bgc1m=%23EAEAEA&sr=amp
jetscrazey
It's true, beating New England would bring back life to the 2019 season. Jets have the easiest schedule going forward. The 6 seed currently has 2 teams with 2 losses (Raiders and Colts) and everyone else has 4 losses just like the Jets. No reason to think they can't go on a run with the opponents coming up, but it all depends on beating New England.
BurnleyJet
I’m not confident about this game, granted it would make us relevant. I’d at least like to see us hang with them a little.
NYJ1
The Jets have absolutely nothing to play for. Their roster simply is not talented enough to win against good team. Like I've posted before this team is a Mike MacCagnan special and there's no way to recover in this short of a timeframe. Mac assembled the very worst roster in football because 1) he was looking for reserves so he could be cheap with the cap 2) his drafting was the very worst kind of garbage. He THOUGHT he was raping the reserve market and assembling a great team through the second and third string. His draft picks were supposed to make the starters a truly excellent starting lineup. The fact is, however, his FA acquisitions sucked and only made this team worse, but clearly most damming was his drafting was pure garbage. There's no way you recover in one season from the kind of damage Mac did. It's like the Jets are starting over in rebuilding the roster.
