or  instead of trying some sort of artificial, forced attendance like they used to, they might consider doing a better job building a team and coaching staff.

Anyway, what you are lobbying for can not happen to PSL seats.  It's in the contract that buyers can resell any game they want and resell the PSL if they want to. No restrictions.  Can't change that now without breaching the contract.  Moot point, thank God. What you propose sucked in the past and it would suck now and also make the Jets liable for a lot of PSL refunds.  Ain't happening.

I know it ain't happening - but's its ruined the "homefield" game experience forever. And I don't fall for the BS that if the team was better the stadium would be packed with Jet fans - not anymore , not with no cap on what a single ticket resale can fetch on the open markets.

I'm a season ticket holder since they came to the Meadowlands and a PSL holder since Metlife. I never thought I'd say this , but I think its time for the Jets to implement a rule, that you simply can't resell your tickets. Allowing resale gives too many "fans" an easy excuse to dump their tickets . Because they are disillusioned with the team or care more about making a profit - the rest of the paying fans have to deal with 30K plus drunken Chowder Heads .

Just wait until the Giants home game in three weeks - a definite sea of Blue for sure.

Using your example of the hotel, yes you had a bad experience but then you didn't resell your room to an ax murderer so the rest of the hotel guests had a terrible experience. That's the problem today everyone only cares about themselves , who cares how your actions impact others.

That rule would never fly.. its their ticket they should be allowed do with it as they please.  Maybe the answer is put out a product that doesn’t make people want to resell it faster than a bad Christmas yankee swap!  Ruth is they also don’t care! They have their money if people

stopped buying tickets they may fix things.. or move..

Its disgusting.

"Wait till they are better then I'll go"

B.S.

I know a bunch of season ticket holders who dont go to a single game.

They sell their tickets for the season for a profit.

It's all about the benjamins.

Freud Fans

SMH.

a profit that is funny

most games you cant give away tickets-case in point I could not give away my jets browns tickets. I am sure nobody is dying to go the the dolphins game....Yes there year there are a few games in demand but none the less.

I spend thousands every year on pre season tickets.

Anybody that bought psls is under water in a BIG  way-nobody is making money on them.  Anybody that bought PSLS bought for the love of the team not the PSL gold  or profit.

Funny that's what some of the Pats trolls were saying yesterday as they were being escorted out of the stadium for being complete jack asses.

In the old days those season ticket holders who sold the seats would be getting a letter in the mail - today as long as the seat is sold the Jets are happy and as long as the seat gets sold for near or at a profit the "jets" fan is happy.

I have attended over 300 jet games. I have gone since I was a kid. It amazes me how loyal jet fans actually are-in reality nobody should go based on the decades of bad performance. Every year when fans have hope opening day is PACKED with jet fans it is only when the team falls apart and regresses to the same old jets that fans lose interest and to some their ticket money is a big expense so if the  team sucks and they can recoup some of the money by selling a few tickets they do it. When the Jets made their run under Rex the stadium was packed and crazy loud.

There were still tons of opposing fans , but because the Jets were winning it didn't seem as bad. Like the Cowboys game , there were a crazy amount of Cowboy fans , but they were relatively quiet until the 4th quarter. This notion of, if the Jets win the stadium will be packed with Jets fans is a fantasy. It changed when scalping was legalized and its never going back .

Its an $#@! Embarrassment.

?

The embarrassment is that in a metro area of 20 million people 10,000 Jets fans couldn’t be bothered to leave their couches and their basements and come support the team after a huge win over the Cowboys and against a hated division rival.

The problem isn’t season-ticket holder‘s who can’t possibly attend all 10 games in a given year; the problem are those people who sit on a couch and never make an effort.  Oh, and those in discussion forums who don’t hold themselves to a standard they have set for others.

in my seats and my section I barely ever saw opposing fans.  Season tickets an expensive luxury item for some-when they feel they are not getting their ROI in fun they try and recoup money when they can. I dont know anybody that bought tickets or psls with the goal to sell them especially at a profit. When you consider the fact you have to buy preseason tickets which have no value and the psls are worth pennies on the dollar if even that.

I'm not saying STH's bought tickets to make a profit. I'm saying there are many many STH's who would gladly sell a few games if they could make money on it. For a lot of us this is a passion for others its just a pastime or hobby.

I just had a few thoughts after last night. I have been commenting on the huge amount of opposing fans at these games for the last year. I now know just about every opposing chant in the league thanks to huge amounts of opposing fans at every game.

1) My friend who has season tickets to the Broncos and lives in Connecticut is only allowed to sell a certain amount of games every year. Jets should do the same.

2) Though overall the Pats fans were decent and respectful- there was one in the front row of my section who was taunting several Jets fans. The event staff threw out the two Jets fans. These two are people I see at every game. Any fight involving an opposing fan should bump the opposing fan out. No matter what.

This organization definitely does suck from ownership to the ticket gates.

Listen, I am going to throw out some numbers here not because I am showing off but simply because they are factual and I can speak to this point.

In the last 10 years of losing football I have spent $50,000 on tickets alone just to see the Jets win, on average, two home games per year.  That doesn’t make me special; any fan with 4 tickets at a cost of $125 per game has paid the exact same thing. And most of us have jobs, families, work travel, and other conflicts where we cannot attend every game. So the ability to sell a few games per year when those conflicts arise helps offset the incredible expenses that being a season ticket holder brings.

The Patriots and Cowboys games literally can pay off 20% or 30% of a fan’s annual season-ticket bill so I can see why some people focus their efforts on moving those tickets while attending other games.

Bottom line is, in a world where attendance across all of the sports are falling by great numbers the last thing the Jets need to do is limit a season ticket holder‘s ability to recoup some money for games he cannot attend.  And don’t forget, we are feeding our tickets, usually a great discounts, to younger fans and thus acting as a gateway for season-ticket holders of the future.

If you cant afford to go to 80% of the games you shouldnt have season tickets. The stadium should rotate games. That way there will be more opposing fans in sections of the stadium. That was like a Pats home game last night. Its not just the Pats and Cowboys games. The Packera, Vikings, Bills, heck even the Jaguars game felt like this.

the bolded would be nonsense for the jets who have done everything they could do devalue ones psl investement-from making exclusive perks available to others after the fact(green parking pass) to allowing others to buy season tickets and even game tickets without the psl commitment.

I meant the ticket itself not acting like an ass in the game. There are rules of conduct on all tickets..

Broncos fans have PSLs too. Overall it would improve the experience and therefore value of the ticket. Its not fun right now.

you can take your number and multiply it times about 6 and that is what my family has spent and I dont blame one single fan for selling their tickets especially folks where money is tight. The jets promised to put a winning team on the field . They have not put anything close to that on the field for years and at the same time they have devalued our psls. In business if you supply your customer with a good product they will be repeat customers and continue to spend and return over and over again. As i said  before jet fans are loyal as can be until there is no reason to be loyal.

See the reason the Broncos do this is to prevent someone in CT from owning and selling 90% of their tickets. Their price points are better for resale. Which is something else the Jets should probably look at.

yes but the bronco organization does not flood the market with tickets themselves and cheapen the value of the psls and the broncos have won in the past 50 years to say the least

if you think there are lots of out of town folks watching now be careful what you wish for by talking about restrictions on season ticket holders. This team is terrible and has been for years if you put restrictions on what you can do with the tickets there will be no such thing as season ticket holders and out of town fans will have complete access to all seats to all games

And what did you do in the past when it was illegal to sell tickets for a profit?

Again, all are problems caused by Jets fans in the NYC Metro area who don't buy season tickets.

Giants Stadium was sold out with a 15 year waiting list for season tickets and those teams were far worse than what we've been offered in MetLife Stadium.  Those are the fans that are missing now.  And it has nothing to do with PSL's; tickets for last nights game were selling for well below face value by kickoff and all they have to do is put gas in the car.

jets just need  to win-perfect example yankees during the playoffs--you can make a bundle selling playoff tickets to the Yankees but having gone to the games I can tell you the majority of the fans are yankee fans not out of town folks and this is true year in and year out too-People pay to see winners and those teams where fans are paying to see their teams and travel no less do it to see winners.

The first 8 years I had season tickets I lived in New England.  I could only make the 10 hour round trip 4x a year or the wife would kill me as we had 2 little kids under the age of 8 at the time.

I sold them on eBay, as an auction, highest bidder won them.  Before Stubhub, that's what you did.  And legal or not there is no enforcement.  Just like the Jets didn't chase down all those fans who defaulted on their PSL agreements.

yes but back then u did not have to pony up thousands  of dollars for the rights -some with psls sell to recoup some of that initial outlay of cash-

I know my work and personal travel schedule for the balance of the year and there are 2 games I cannot attend.  I look forward to receiving your personal payment for $1,070 so that you can buy my seats and make sure they get in the hands of worthy Jets fans.

I take PayPal or Venmo, whatever is more convenient for you.

good luck there lol people love to tell others what they should do with their own tickets or own money. I will happily hand over my psls to any fan that wants to pay what I paid for them-they can control every single game and who sits in my seats for eternity
