Except BB was a bad HC before he found Brady.  He still has a losing overall record without Brady as his starting QB...

The 1st three Super Bowls they won, Brady was more good QB, than a Super HOF caliber QB, averaging between 230 and 250 yards per game, with a 2-1 TD to int ratio.   He was good, but not amazing.

I think it is the exact opposite.  The pats are ready to move on from brady.

Tom just sees the writing on the wall and is getting out in front of it.

This is stidhams team moving forward.

And the pats wont miss a beat with stidham.  His athleticism will make the pats tougher to defend on offense.

People forget that NE won 11 games with Matt Cassel.

This was Schefter so it is like wow unbelievable but if Schefter says it there is credibility.

Ultimately I think it is just Tom saying to the Patriots, you owe me some money so I am opting out. His cap # is so low for what he has accomplished.
