SNY POST GAME

I think its funny that the jets brain trust thought “helping sam develop” meant bringing in a HC to throw the ball all over the field behind a for sh*t O line.

helping sam develop means give him a running game. Every HC worth his salt knows a young QB needs a reliable running game to allow him time to develop. You can’t put all of this pressure on a 22 year old kid in his second pro year and only 5th lifetime year playing QB.

The jets have an all pro RB, and, guess what, run blocking is easier to do than pass blocking. That’s how you develop a QB. The fact that Gase and the clowns at One Jets Drive don’t seem to know this is a damning indictment of Sam’s future prospects.

totally agree on the run the ball part.  not so sure about run blocking being easier than pass blocking.  either way, if the jets did start running the ball they'd have better passing success.  lot's of posters were tired of the ground and pound but it works and even these so called passing teams have good reliable running backs to run the ball with.

You don't think Christopher is watching Andy Reid in Mahomes ear constantly engaging and looking at film on his Surface. Mcvay sitting with Goff all the time.... And wondering why no one is even talking with Sam?

Btw - great post.

This is why one of the Jets biggest mistakes was not bringing McCown back , He was in Sam's ear all the time.

Id trade bell too if you can.  Hes so slow.  I watch mccaffery and cook and they are on a different level then bell in terms of speed.

different types of rbs I get your point but if you signed Bell for all this money then you build your offense around him but our moron of coach does not do that. Screw zone blocking fire out run block...man to man  easier to do let Bell pick his whole if they stack the box short quick passes

Sonny is correct it is easier to run block you line up and smack the guy in front you. no reads unless your the full back or a a pulling blocker
