Barry McCockinner
Joe Douglas traded pending FA Leonard Williams to the New York Giants at the trade deadline for a 2020 3rd round pick and a 2021 5th round pick that escalates to a 2021 4th round pick if Leo is re-signed by the Giants. What grade do you give him all things considered? 1
SR24
Good compensation for a guy who never even came close to living up to his draft position. Leo seemed like a good locker room guy and was durable but just never caught on good luck to him but this was a solid move
Popular Post prime21
Has to be an A for a player we were not going to resign. 5

DMan77
I mean it's fine... His production was low so his value was pretty low. They had to get something for him here and every other team knew that. It would have been a colossal failure to not trade him at all.

BigRy56
A - on his best day, he is a very average football player... his effort is nonexistent. It's amazing that the Giants were willing to part with what they did for him 3

New York Mick
It currently doesn’t help the team and I don’t know who they’re going to draft with the picks so it’s impossible to grade. If they get a pro bowler with one of the picks it would be an A if they get 2 guys who never see the field it would be an F and in between depending on how good the players drafted are.
Jetsfan80
He got the max value he could have gotten out of Leonard Williams. No contending team was going to give us a 2. Thus, its an A. Those who are saying anything less than an A either think value was left on the table (nope) or are tacking on blame for Williams being taken # 6 overall and failing here under 2 regimes on Joe Douglas.

Ohhthepain
Gettleman out here doin gods work. Wasnt their second first round pick this year a run stuffing IDL also? Sounds like hes taking a page out of the Mike Macagnan playbook.

HessStation
I actually spent time watching just Leo yesterday and he has zero hand tech. Dude is a jag for life. Good trade
Joe W. Namath
Its an absolute A. The Giants are going to resign him so we will get a high 3rd and a high 4th. Id love getting a new running back with one of our 3rds next year.
More Cowbell
I just hope he can turn the picks into solid layers for us. If Mac made this trade I'd be grading it an F.
jgb
It’s an A but it’s built on another F selection by Macc so hard to be jubilant Incredibly 9 short months ago Leo was held out by Macc supporters (yes, they existed) as one of Macc’s good moves.

section314
I voted B. Not a bad return picks wise, but the proof will be in the actual players.

y2k8
I give it a B. I'll raise it to an A if he doesn't cause us to lose the Giants game or hurt Sam. We all know his first sack of the season will be in against us.

Joe W. Namath
We now have 4 picks in the 1st 3 rounds. Id go in no particular order - 2 olinemen, 1 rd, 1 wr. Revamp this offense.

bealeb319
B. I think we will see a differance without leo plus quinnen hasn't been able to stay healthy. The season has not been a good one for us but we are approaching the easiest part of it and the best thing we could do for darnold and the rest of our locker room is win games. The compensation is pretty good for a player we were not going to resign and is on the last year of his contract. All offseason we had people telling us that the breakout year was coming from Leo now that a "real DC" was here. It never happened. Luckily, Dave Gettleman is dumb.
