The Jets will be without center Ryan Kalil (knee) and cornerback Trumaine Johnson (both ankles) in practice, and tight end Chris Herndon (hamstring) will be limited, while Kelvin Beachum (ankle) is working on the side with trainers, in hopes of returning this week after missing the last two games.

Addition by subtraction with Kalil (backed up by Harrison) and Johnson (backed up by Hairston) as those backups are better than the starters at this point. If we get Herndon back him and Griffin could make a good pass catching TE combo, and Beachem is needed since Chuma right now just can't handle speed or bull rushes from what I see. If he continues he might have to go back to the right side, which requires a little less pass rush handling since the strong side usually has the other teams 2nd best pass rusher, plus that being the string side usually has TE(s) lined up that at least get in the way of the pass rush and slow it up a bit.
