Pass. He and Pete Carroll will sit and discuss the legal strains of weed there in the Pacific NW.

Always manage to demonstrate how a portion of a fan base cannot seem to appreciate that these players are actually people that have to function together in a work environment. Guys that are late, dont show up, and are otherwise disruptive... affect the whole office negatively. The Patriots get rid of them... Some Jets fans want to sign them... but fortunately for us (this time), they aren't making the decision.

Nixhead
If Gordons agent was calling the Jets - and we know Joe Douglas takes calls right? - if his agent calls and says Josh really wants to be a Jet then mostly likely the Jets would of claimed him. Does anyone really think Gordon wanted to be a Jet? Most likely No. So were gonna claim this guy who is trouble to begin with and he doesn't want to be a Jet. How do you think that would work out? Not very good! Now if we could of claimed him and then traded him to a playoff team that needs a receiver that would of worked. But Gordon was never gonna be a Jet. You’re gonna sit here and say trading a pick to NE for a 31yr old DT is a better move than spending $1 million on 28 year old Josh Gordon? How? I know he’s not who he used to be but he’d be the most talented guy in the room idk why we wouldn’t try it what’s the risk? we have him for 8 games in a doomed season. Worst case He gets the team high and they all get suspend best case we resign him and he contributes to the weak WR room. He's played in fewer games than Gordon and has a couple less receptions. With Falk. And yes, after he plays a couple of games he's going to get suspended for some mysterious reason. But hey no risk. 5 years he hardly played. No risk involved, not even counting on him so played a number of games with Brady and has a couple of more catches than that 31 year old WR The one BB wishes he never traded
fullblast
This team drives me to drink and I don't even have a substance abuse problem. Gordon would be banded for life after 1 week in this locker room.

It is delusional to claim that any team passed on Gordon because he wouldn't like that team. This is Josh Gordon you are talking about. The guy who has served more suspension weeks than active in his entire career. He should be kissing Pete Carroll's butt for being willing to take him with all the risk he brings to the table. Pete Carroll will be fine with Gordon's late and missed meetings and all the other irritating little things he did while a Patriot. Belichick figured he'd rather burn a 2nd rounder for Sanu than keep Gordon. Tells you all you need to know.
Jetster
Do people here realize how far away from competitive this team is? Especially when you include the injuries? 26 players on this injury port, Quincy, Avery, Cashman on IR, CJ soon to follow. With a 6 year contract JDs like, show me the high draft picks. Behind closed doors these guys know we're f*cked.
JoJoTownsell1
So apparently only one team put in a claim for the great Josh Gordon.

Yeah, a player who has put up scrub like numbers over the past 7 or so years, who has wasted his talents, who cant be relied on to complete 5 games is going to be picky and choose where HE wants to go. Fan speak at its finest.

varjet
I don’t see Douglas taking flyers on players with problems like Gordon. Not guys who can’t even make meetings. We will see on the occasional gf beating.

Also could have potentially led to a comp pick if he wasn't re-signed. Passing is kind of a head scratcher.. if he doesn't show up to meetings or flakes out then cut him.. was certainly worth the risk. “Remarkable turnaround”
