Pretty gross exaggeration. Yes, they are bad. Most of it has to do with awful communication, you can see it on the field. And that's no excuse. However, just think about the circumstances under which they have looked bad. They looked awful against a great pass rush in Jax, against the best D in the league in NE, against one of the best D's in the league in Buf., against a couple of great pass rushers on the Browns and a very good D-line on the Eagles. And on top of that 1/2 of those games the Jets had Falk at QB who was simply not ready to play in the NFL and took sack after sack after sack. I'm not even mentioning the injuries. So yeah, bad. But worst in league history is a gross exaggeration. This o-line was a major wildcard coming in this season and pretty much everyone has underperformed. On top of that they were devastated by injuries (including the QB) and so far have faced some very tough defenses.

The Jets are tied with 34 sacks allowed. The Jets are 5th with most qb hits allowed at 56. The Jets lead (by a pretty large margin) sacks per game. The Jets lead (by a large margin) team sacked percentage 13.71%. Imagine that, 13.71% of the times the Jets drop back, the play results in a sack. Yeah, the Jets O-line is historically bad. And that is good news. Because an o-line can be fixed in a relative short time.
