Exhibit 1: Lamar Jackson in Baltimore

Recommended Posts

Lol Jets fans were calling out their GM and HC as done a year ago.

We are the best contrarian indicators in football.

Own it guys. This is why we are a joke.

Jets fan: I wish we had a nice, solid, consistent program like the Ravens have built.

Also Jets fan: SEVEN GAMES IS ENOUGH. FIRE UP THE “FIRE THIS COACH” GOFUNDME PAGE

You're onto something, however good teams are good not because they don't fire failures but because they don't hire said failures in the first place.

Jackson is fun to watch and he'll win games but his style of play is not sustainable. Look at Cam. A freak that won with his athleticism and after a few too many hits it's all over.

Can you believe Cam just turned 30 in May? Seems like he's been around 15 years.

Keep hearing people say this over and over

A player like Lamar you have a 4-5 year window

Can I get a 4-5 year window where the jets are good?

You have a 4-5 year window with every good QB unless you can find a way to pay him under the table to keep his cap number below $20m after his rookie deal.

In a way the 4-5 year window is a good thing because you can instead of having to pay him $130 million you can move on to a successor

The chiefs are gonna get killed by the Mahomes contract

Problem with a growing salary cap is whenever they raise it by $10m like 7.5 of it goes to QBs lol

Professional organization versus circus. The only things the Ravens and Jets have in common is that they are both in the AFC and they are both football teams, ostensibly.

A think the Jets should do more to build around Darnold.  I’d recommend looking for 7+ footers.  They’d have a huge advantage on the half dozen 50/50 balls a game.

Or a couple midgets in an overcoat.

If I was an owner of a NFL team in today's NFL, I would NEVER hire a HC, OC or DC that had a "system".  I would have a coach that builds a system around the players they have (like the CHeatriots) Just too much turnover, CAP issues and lack of NFL preparation in college to realistically build a team around a specific system like the WC offense or the bear defense. Even if you are a "Tampa 2" guy at heart you really can't play that system until you have the mike and will so you need to incorporate some of those philosophies in a system that works for the players you have,

Baltimore with Jackson is the poster child for this. Their offense is built entirely around his skill set and the backups are like mini-Jacksons. However, as impressive as it can be. it has not been shown that you can sustain success with this style as the QB eventually gets beaten down, loses a step and then they are just mediocre pocket QBs like Newton and Kapernick and RGIII became.

Cheatriots are the best because they value versatility over specialised superstars.

They'd take a guy who does five things well over another that does one or two exceptionally. Injuries are inevitable but how you perform in spite of them is not luck.

Stop.  This is serious.  That would be a too many men on the field penalty.  Also, “little people.”

My bad, that was insensitive. What about cojoined twins connected shoulders to feet? Hey I'm looking for solutions here.

Please note that I didn't use the offensive term for people suffering from the above condition.

Except when they sign Moss or AB or Gordon or 86 or Hainsworth or........?

I did not say they put zero value in superstars. Just that they value versatility more, especially in relation to other teams.
