Warfish
The hype over Herndon is pretty funny. Almost as hype as Darnold pre-2019. Straws. Grasping. Etc. 6

Mike135
A TE isn't gonna help much. Sam needs an oline. Hell even great vets do. Did ya see Rivers last night? He was horrible because Oakland was getting a bunch of pressure. And their oline is much better than the Jets oline. 4

But I do like the idea of 12 personnel. Bell, Griffin, Herndon with two WRs like Crowder and Robby is a 2-TE presumptive running formation with 5 pass catchers on the field.

No hard on dude, watched the kid play college football thought he was decent so did the Jacksonville Jaguars they drafted him things did not work out his career probably over because of concussions. Did you drink tainted water or what, whats your problem.

Its been sooo ugly. His mechanics have just been awful. He needs someone to work with him. That is what is now so clear that Josh McCown was so good at doing, keeping Darnold focused on his fundamentals! This coaching staff unfortunately doesn’t do that and it shows. The OL isn't good, but Sam throws off his back foot even when he has time. Good QBs hang in, even step up in the pocket, and step into throws. They don't play odd their back foot. Darnold never had good footwork, and he always had poor mechanics, even at USC. He'll never be consistent, or very good until he straightens that out. All this "he's only 21, 22", he's "only played QB a few years" stuff that so many here keep getting talking about aren't positives. Like his poor mechanics, they're obstacles, and he hasn't overcome them thus far.
