This Jets franchise is legit making me want to convert to my local, racist-named, horribly-run, equally inept, also 1 win NFL franchise.

It better do something to stem that asap ffs.

I’m shocked we’re getting the game in DC. Also a little interested to see how it goes. May as well watch.

Harrison isn’t overly good but at least he is trying to block people. Kalil was a kalossal mistake. I’ll take average play out of Harrison every Sunday.

If only someone had been saying this this last month.

It’s really something when the return of a bottom half of the league LT is a massive upgrade to the line. That’s how bad Edoga was on the left side.

Hairston is bad. They need two starting corners next season. Which is insane given the money and assets invested in the position.

I’m old enough to remember when the Jets were between Golden Tate and Eric Decker. One guy is still an impact player. One guy isn’t even in the league anymore.

Sure, trade everyone that may be impactful. Makes perfect sense.

A good offensive line is more impactful than a good box safety.

And we're going to get that from Dallas?

You did say enjoy Dallas next year.

I think they could turn him into a couple of picks and a player or multiple picks that end up being more with shrewd moves in the draft. Also, not paying Jamal top dollar at safety allows them to invest in the offensive line.

The first two drives vs the last x drives are a perfect example of why Gase isn’t a good coach. For whatever reason, he’s gone away from what’s been working and the Giants are on the verge of taking the lead.

Paying Jamal top dollar wont hinder the Jets to invest in the Oline when they have draft picks and a ton of cash already.

Sure it will. The Jets need basically an entire new line, entire new secondary (corners), at least two receivers, and a player who can come off the edge. Can’t get all of that in the draft and free agency while paying Jamal 15 a year.

You dont rebuild the entire team in one offseason. In otherwords, The Jets arent going to get all of the cornerbacks, pass rushers, Wide receivers and Olinemen in 1 offseason, even if you trade Jamal adams and by doing so making a new hole at the SS secondary position.

This is the exact same things that I just explained to CrazyCarl. You figure out what the most important positions need to be addressed, and as of now, that is the Oline above any other position.

To think that every hole is going to be filled in one offseason, even if you create another hole by trading Jamal is pretty ridiculous.

This is a multi season process. This year should be focusing on getting Darnold Targets and Olinemen. You can get targets in free agency as well as Oline depth, maybe a starter. The Draft should be 100% about the Oline, maybe even a trade down to acquire more picks if the jets are sitting on the board if Chase Young is sitting there.

Well in two years they’re also going to have to make a decision about Darnold. The Adams thing isn’t in a vacuum and he’s easily replaced at an average level, which is all you need.

Darnold outside of the pocket is magic. Just wish it was more play designs than him running for his life.

The cap goes up every year. This Jamal trading is feelings, nothing more. The bottomline is this. The Jets can do everything they need to do if they stop paying MLB's 17+ million a year and drafting Defensive linemen with every top 1st round pick along with their 2nd and 3rd round picks.

We’ll see how Douglas builds a team, but that MLB isn’t going anywhere for at least a few seasons. So that could complicate things.

Bottom line is Jamal isn’t going to be worth the cap room he’ll be asking versus what he could bring back in a potential trade.

No one knows what Jamal is going to be worth or what he'll be asking. All hypotheticals based on nothing more than how folks feel about Jamal Adams off the field speaking.

The bottomline is that Jamal Adams doesnt hinder this team from doing what needs to be done. What hinders this team is falling in love with drafting Defensive Linemen in the first round, defensive players in the 2nd and 3rd rounds and overpaying Cornerbacks in free agency

That’s not true. We know what top safeties make. He’ll ask for more than that. And you’re putting emotions into this because you like the player. If becoming a better team costs the Jets sending Jamal Adams away in a trade, the Jets have to do it.

nice win but at this point it's whatever.  we're going to finish in no mans land with a 7-9 record.

4 wins. Maybe 5. All that matters is Sam looking more like today than last week and getting rid of Gase.

They're beating Washington, Cinci, Dolphins, Raiders, and Steelers.

They aren’t beating the Raiders or the Steelers. The Steelers D is legit. Also, wouldn’t be surprised to see the momentum stop next week in DC.

Bless Austin with his best Adams impersonation lol

I’ll let him celebrate a bit. It’s been a long, hard road and it’s his first game. He’s not very good but let him have a day.
