Spencer Long was excellent at long snapping.

He was a good G for us. Yeah his snapping was a disaster last year.

I heard talk of the Jets drafting a LT first. I could go with that.

But I could also go with a pass rusher first and a OL second...and 3rd.

I think the OL is actually better without Kalil. It remains to be seen if it's better without Winters. The best road for this OL getting better: addition by subtraction.

Draft Chase Young... 4 OL and a WR with the next picks...

It wasn't luck, it was Maccagnan willfully ignoring the issue

He’s never getting another job in the NFL ever again. Imagine interviewing him, “So tell me again Mike, why forfeiting needs for best player available works”..

If the Jets traded Adams they would actually have had a good chance of getting Biadasz, who will likely be good a longtime.

He was good at Dodge ball too. Always found way to hit Sam in the legs.

What are you talking about? The Jets have Ryan Kalil.

Going back to the 60's it always seemed like the Jets had better than average centers.  Up until Macc that is...

You make your own luck we haven’t drafted OL in first four rounds for something like six straight years.

If the Jets are looking for a Center in the upcoming draft, I really like this guy... He's like a brick wall...

And in other news, Rip Van Winkle just woke up.

We drafted Chuma in the third round this year.

Before that, Dakota Dozier in the 4th round in 2014

Before that Vlad Ducasse in the 2nd round in 2010.

We have picked three players in the top four rounds on OL in a decade.

And we wonder why our line SUCKS.

With that win, we are currently out of the Chase Young and Andrew Thomas sweepstakes and the QBs will be taken before us, so trade back opportunities will be few and far between.

That's a BAP approach....but also at a position of severe need.  It's hard to have a problem with taking Jeudy at #5 if that's the way the Draft flowed and there was no major trade-down opportunity (having both Burrow and Tua gone).

Would really like a LT in Round 1, but I could stomach this if the Jets at least plugged the LT hole with an average guy in FA.

plus a little love for John Schmitt (most underrated center the Jets have ever had)

He was before my time, but yeah... Wow.  That extends the unbroken string of top notch cents for the Jets.

We'd be better off if he was.

Funny remembering how many posters were so very happy to see Mangold go.....we tried to tell them!

Forgot about chuma but still embarrassing especially when you consider OL is 45% of your starting offense
