Exactly what the pats did to darnold.  0 blitz.  Time for Williams to bring the heat.

You need cornerbacks in order for that to work

We can't double any player as our safety is in the box blitzing every play.

Nickel and dime coverage the entire game

This - he threw 50 TD's at OSU with a clean pocket - has not learned to handle pressure yet

Wow the Jamal Adams hate on this forum is just non-stop and pops up in every thread. Sad.

The question is will he catch it.

Not really his thing. If I’m being honest.

Wonder if Bless will start after his good play against the Giants.

Considering he’s basically best DB on the team I would certainly hope so . Neat kid.

It's a good question.  Do we have any two-time members of the Jets Fan Advisory Board on here that we can ask for advice on this?

They want to run the ball so luckily that plays into our strength. If we keep them in third and longs, we should be able to manage this QB. I don’t think he will shred us but I haven’t watched him much. I think our pass defense will look better this week given the team. The QBs that have beat us are a lot better than him.

Every QB has pretty much shredded this secondary including Fitz and Jones. We stink.

A better question would be "What excuses should Gase make if we lose this one?"

My approach would be the following:

1) Of course, stop the run. You can't give Haskins anything to lean on.

2) Take away whoever is his receiver that he goes to most often. Bracket him if you have to.

3) Assign a linebacker to "shadow" him. One defender designed to prevent him from breaking the pocket.

Of course the big problem is, you MUST stop the run with only your front 7.
