THE BARON 174 #1 Posted November 13 Hello... I saw the previous post about assembling the Jets all time defense. Some nice picks and info... Anyone wanna take a crack at offense + special teams ??? The Crimson King 1,534 #9 Posted November 13 substitute: Winston Hill for Ferguson Dave German for Faneca Matt Snell for Leon (run. block. catch) Don Maynard and George Sauer for Toon and Chrebet but how you line up Sauer. Maynard and Walker, not so sure Namath at QB but after he learned to protect the ball and before his knees were just too bad to even hobble Joe McKnight on KO's Dick Cristy on PR (unless Titans don't count in which case, Santana Moss) P: Lac Edwards (Jennings averaged under 40 yds per here)

The important stat is the W's, not passing yards. Chad would give you the best TD to interception number and probably the best third down conversion percentage. Leadership is also off the charts. Though, with Chad, instead of my choice of Walker, Toon and Chrebet, I'd probably be better off with Key, Toon and Chrebet. Key over Walker for Chad who would need possession receivers over field stretchers.

GuitarJet 31 #28 Posted November 13 Fun post! Thanks for doing this Its a great start but as a 59 year old Jets fan I have some tweaks FWIW. LT- Winston Hill, I did see him play - he was a beast! LG: Faneca (his early tenure with the Jets) yup! Center: Mangold No question TE: Mickey Shuler, (2nd Tight End Rich Caster - was money in the clutch, made Richard Todd look like an NFL QB at times) RG: Dan Alexander (Yup) RT: Marvin Powell (Yup..... loved this guy's motor) RB1: Emerson Boozer (OK this one's an emotional pick, I met him when I was 8. Great man!) RB2 (pick a full back or scat back): LeVeon Bell. I would love to see him with the O-Line above WR1; Wesley Walker (No contest) WR2: Don Maynard (He was FUN to watch! He and Brett Favre would be electric!) Slot: Wayne Chrebet (Say no more) QB: Brett Favre... (Namath was a gunslinger, Farve was gunslinger with better knees!) Punt/Kick Return: Bruce Harper - yup K. Pat Layhey (was consistent for so long, might go with Jason Meyers with the new rules) P. Dave Jennings (yup!)

Vinny had a phenomenal year, but **** the three of them. I will take Kenny O. You can throw around whatever bullsh*t you want, but he was stuck with those two moronic coaches - Walton with Kotite as an OC. I will stand by him over the others. He could throw the ******* ball
