Rex Ryan you aren’t fooling anyone with this post.   No team is giving you a head coaching job.   Accept it already.   You have about the same chance as your brother Rob , to get an NFL job.  None.

Well you know when it’s bad, once you think it’s a good idea to bring Rex Ryan back.

I prey Jeff Bezos throws a few Billion at the Johnson’s. Of course it won’t happen because Jets..

Rex didn’t make the playoffs during his last six seasons as a HC. When he got to Buffalo he inherited a top 5 defense and turned it into a sieve.
Rex will always be remembered fondly amongst the fan base for delivering some great moments (beating a 14-2 Pats team on the road  in the playoffs was unbelievable), but his time has come and gone. Let someone else have a shot.

Unfortunately this is correct. I would consider him as the DL coach but having more say than that in team decisions is in the past.

I loved that Rex was actually a fan of the jets and wanted to change the perception as much as win. He was everything we could have ever wanted except they gave him say in the personnel decisions and he is way to pompous to realize what he can and can’t do. (Among other things)
His excitement was matched by the pain he brought us. I’d rather not go there Again

So you can have a coach that makes horrible in-game decisions... Constantly blows late leads... Loose locker room... And who's shtick wore thin with the players after 2 seasons...

Sounds mediocre at best...

I'm going out on a limb for this one, but I SECOND your nomination!

Look, I'm not trying to be rude here to anyone. I know your feelings in the opposite direction are very charged. But we have now hired TWO HC's since Rex was sent packing and exactly what do we have to show for it? We have a roster that is worth perilously close to ZERO. That was our wonderful GM's doing that came with the glowing endorsement from two of the league's most respected professionals (sarcasm). He literally destroyed this roster with his bare hands as though he was actually WORKING for the opponents in some conspiracy keeping the Jets from ever winning. We've also had two HC's that have turned out to be almost as bad as the GM? Now we're on the war path for Adam Gase's blood.

Where does this vicious cycle end?

Why NOT go back to the guy that we know will be successful when he had talent to work with? And let's not forget WE TRUST IN JOE DOUGLAS. Joe Douglas is the guy who's been hired to fix this. So if JOE DOUGLAS decided to hire Rex back, what are you going to say? Are you going to throw a temper tantrum because all of the insults you hurled toward Rex will now be tested? Like your penis will turn out to be a tiny, little thing if the Jets win the SB with the dynamic duo of Douglas and Rex? Or will you support the decision because YOU TRUST IN JOE DOUGLAS???

I for one would welcome the idea of that team. Rex in a structured environment much like the old duo of George Young and Bill Parcells. Not comparing the two just using them as a good example of a GM/HC team working well together.

Then? Let the chips fall where they may. There is no bonafide one way of finding a successful GM and HC. There's only owners throwing sh*t at the wall to see what sticks.

Every Jets coach since Parcells has made the previous coach look good by comparison.

And after Gase finds a way to get outscored by Haskins you’ll be screaming for Rex
