### Jets \ Redskins -- The Official Game Thread ###

Recommended Posts

I believe if the Jets cannot man-handle a team that hasn’t scored a touchdown in over a month then they are in even more trouble than we thought. Sam Darnold does well against this kind of zone coverage but the question is whether or not the OL can hold up. They have a pretty decent young DL and our offensive line has been so bad this year, I can’t see us doing any better against the Redskins than anyone else. I DO think things settle in a little more with Harrison back at Center but I don’t think it will have a big enough impact to make the rest of the OL look serviceable. Harrison, himself, is not great, he just knows his job decently and Sam seems comfortable with him snapping the ball. Whenever you seen Sam so good, Jonatthan Harrison was the man snapping. We have even bigger issues at tackle and guard so this is going to be a bumpy ride the rest of the season for pass protection whether we play a 1-8 team or a 7-2 team.

We need to create momentum on offense early. That means no mind numbing schotty bullsh*t. Attack the soft spots in the zone with Crowder, DT & Robbie need passes that go FOWARD,, not screens or out routes that end up 3 yards before the sticks. Griffin needs to be involved as a passing option. Bell. There’s enough pieces here to work and I’ve always thought that even though I understand the position that this roster’s in. The beginning of a 17th rebuild. I think we take care of business here as long as we move the ball decently. They cannot run worth a sh*t Callahan has been dense enough to keep trying to pound the rock .. that would be ideal for us given our pass defense is so crappy but our run defense is #2 in the league. Force Dwayne Haskins to throw the ball. sit back and wait for the rookie mistakes. Greg Williams knows how to get pressure on a rook.

Jets - 24

Skins - 13

Apparently Bell saw a big change in Darnold this week. I honestly think he us still not 100% recovered.

He said that?

He’s nothing like Favre.

Last year  “he was like Peyton” because of all the ints in his rookie year.

Now it’s Favre? Lol. Brett had a rifle arm and he would try to make an impossibly hard throw by firing it into a tiny window. Sam is just dumb, and has poor mechanics. Always did.

You might want to change your username then if that’s how you feel.

it’s reflecting like an image in a puddle.

Damn that Darnold dude sure ain’t no franchise quarterback. What kind of FQB has 3 touchdowns at the half.

Man oh man.

The Redskins defense says hello.

When a Josh Allen or Daniel Jones has a good day against a team like them, “they only look good against bad teams”. Sam does, it’s different.

Such bs. He’s playing well against a horrible team. Stop the snark.

Maybe those QB’s would good too. I never said anything about any other QB’s performance. I’m talking about my QB’s performance as of right now.

He’s killing it. I’m sure you’d piss yourself in excitement if Baker went into the half with 3 TD’s against ANY team.

Also, just because the Redskins are, overall, a bad team...doesn’t necessarily mean their defense is piss poor as the collective effort. They have a nice young DL and some corners. Sam just naturally does well agains zone coverage and I noted this before the game on page 1. He has done a fantastic job against zone since his first preseason game. Why don’t we look at Washington’s Defense. DeAron Payne, Josh Norman, Ryan Karregin, good DL depth, nice safety duo. They aren’t scrubs.

Darnold sucks to you no matter what he does. You can’t stand Darnold supporters and the way they express their perspective so you take it out on your favorite team’s potential franchise QB.

sad.

Sam isn’t broken yet.

Ok. Thanks for explaining me to me..

Now can you do you?.

What’s your problem with him?

Every time he has a bad game you’re on here complaining how bad he is and how you’ve had it with him.

Every time? I think questioned my support behind same one game. The same game we all freaked out on. I think I went back multiple times and clarified that it was a reactionary moment and i still see lots of good in what Sam does.

You, OTOH, never believed. so addressing me doesn’t really do the justice that you think it does.

Ya you forgot about a horrible INT that happens every game.

Damn it’s hard to remember those when he throws 3 scores.

Congrats he can beat up on teams just as bad if not worse than the Jets. Dude aint impressive.

Again, the overall record of the Skins doesn’t necessarily reflect their defense’s collective efforts. They have a decent defense.
