that was the axing price, brainiac.  Dallas balked..  now if they want him the price is going up.

You’re only worth what a buyer will pay; to be fair may be a foreign concept when you’re cutting grass for cash

Stats look great Jamal. You will be traded in the off-season. No way in hell the jets are dumb to pay you all that money. I get you play hard, v

But you dont play big against top competition. You are all about yourself and not the team. You got a big mouth and no wins to back it with. The jets would be stupid to resign you. You ain't no Minka Fitzpatrick . You are a lb playing safety.

Lmaoo gotta love narrative changing from his haters.. went from he isn’t good and doesn’t make any impact.. now it’s he don’t play good vs good teams .

Cowboys wouldn’t give up a third round pick for our sackin’ safety but ok

They offered a 1st and 3rd . But Douglas wanted a 1st and 2 2nds . But continue spin the truth for your agenda. Looks like he is on verge of making being a All pro for 2nd consecutive year ..

They’ve repeatedly burned high picks on nose tackles and strong safeties. Of course they should be good against the run. They’re also like thirtieth against them pass. That’s an issue in a league that likes to pass.

We are horrid against the pass because we have my grandmother, her injured sister and my 3 legged dog out there playing CB.

We need to trade Jamal to the Giants  since  we won't have to playing them for another 5 years - at least a 3rd and Leo Williams 😜

Amazing how we are so hard up for pass rushers and we're discussing trading a player that leads the team in sacks..

the inmates are leading the asylum....

I just want to see this against a veteran quarterback.

All this success vs rookies.

It's not so much one player as it is the entire team and coaching staff.  They've beaten Dallas, but was that a aberration?

Let's see what they do against the Raiders.

Is this a good thing or a bad thing when thinking about the team as a whole?

it's both.  the jets need impact players on both sides of the ball and the other teams have to game plan for adams.  it's bad because there needs to be more production from his team mates in those categories.  but as teams scheme for adams it should open up the game so the other guys start getting their stats better.

this is what impact players mean to teams.

Its really just 2 bozos ruining the board with this nonsense.  The narrative changes when it fits there stupid interwebz agenda and they have to spam the entire board to get their points across.  People are ******* weird.

He'll be getting a contract that averages 15 Mil a year with about 36 mil guaranteed.  From JD or someone else.

No one who knows anything agrees with your side on this bub.  Take the L with grace.

Your standards for what an "L" looks like continue to astound.  The "L" for Jamal fanboys occurred when the Cowboys refused to throw in a 3rd rounder for the great Jamal Adams, and then he threw a hissy fit because he wasn't traded to the place he wanted to go.

I like that Jamal is getting sacks.  It's the one area on the field where he's doing something that can affect the W/L column in 2019.  It also is boosting his trade value.

Come on man Jamaal can’t hold Luke Kuechley’s jock strap.

Kuechley although very good, has regressed a bit from when he was the best. I'm not sure who the best MLB is but I doubt  it's  him.

Seriously, if the guy is getting multiple  sacks a game, why would you trade him? Who else onnthe team can do that?

Who was the last Jet that had a 2 sack game and followed it up with a 3 sack game?

Why do you keep quoting the lie Shane made up like its fact?  Its weird.

JD asked for 1st and 2 2nds.  You saying they wanted a 3rd on top of that?

From what I read in the media, the Cowboys simply would not meet what Douglas had asked for. Ot doesn't  really matter if it was a third or even multiple  firsts, the price was not met.

I dunno, maybe because that isn't a sustainable way to play defense?  Having your best sack artist be a Safety?  Let's see what happens the remainder of the season before assuming he's going to be a multiple sacks per game guy the rest of the year.

When you combine a players tenacity, some instincts, stability and durability - he's throwing his body out there like a human cannonball and hasn't missed one game - mix that in with a little bravado and chest beating , well what more can you ask for on the field?  He's fun to watch. What player have we had up to now that has that factor?

Not that he's not expendable but JD will have be offered some real exemplary type of deal to part with him.

Addams is a great player, his mouth piece is terrible but that doesn’t take away from his game, but call me old fashion I’d rather someone in the front 7 be the team leader in most of those stats. The fact that addams leads all of those stats is great for him individually but pretty bad when thinking about the prospect of the team in general

Still, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported that the Cowboys had engaged in what they believed to be serious talks with the Jets, but Douglas’ asking price was high — a first-round draft pick and two second-rounders. Even the Cowboys’ official Twitter account acknowledged Dallas “had interest, but couldn’t land Jamal Adams.”

Some of us don’t have to spread lies to prove a point .

Rapoport and Schefter were tweeting contradictory reports at the time.  That's not "common knowledge" at all.

I don't doubt that Douglas' initial asking price was high.  That doesn't confirm anything regarding what the final offers were and what the deal breaker was.

They are playing him like a LB. He may as well be am OLB with the way they lime him up.

Tackles have their category

Sacks have their category

TFL's have their category.

With that said, I wouldnt be surprised if he's defensive player of the week again...him being the best safety in the league and all. 😉

Here's how this works:

https://www.bloggingtheboys.com/2019/10/30/20939275/cowboys-news-jamal-adams-deal-falls-short-jets-dak-prescott-jason-garrett-michael-bennett

According to David Moore of the Dallas Morning News, a source has revealed that the Cowboys actually offered a first-round selection to the Jets for Adams. And that Dallas was even willing to swap picks in other rounds to get the deal done right up to the final moments before the deadline passed.

Source added that Cowboys were willing to put together the sort of package Pittsburgh did to acquire Minkah Fitzpatrick (a 1st & switching picks on 3rd day) but wouldn't go to the Jalen Ramsey level (two 1st round picks and a 4th).

So a 1st plus maybe us moving up a a dozen pick slots in the 4th.  That was their best offer.
