Saul Goodman
There’s been no real change to the offense. Play calling isn’t different, and Sam’s “meeting” (where he stormed into Gase’s office with his rosy cheeks) and the plane (lol) had zero effect. Darnold is now healthy, the offensive line is playing better, and it took some time for Gase’s system to get installed. That’s it.
More Cowbell
Not to take anything away from the Jets but the Raiders just didn't show up today. I think they made about every mistake possible today. Inspite of all that, Sam played outstanding today. He didn't press and made some amazing throws. I'm not ready to anoint Gase just yet but this was a step in the right direction.

Great coaches overcome adversity of personnel. This is most definitely a step in the right direction. Aren't we seeing exactly that the last 3 games? This roster has been wrecked with injuries, on the OL, TE, and on defense at LB and CB. The coaches ARE overcoming adversity, today doing so in grand fashion!
New York Mick
I hated the hiring of Gase and I’m still unsure of his ability but today he called a good game. Let’s see how he does the rest of the season and next season with a healthy squad. 3

It was the kick in the ass he needed. No, he's the same coach. It takes time to implement a new system on both sides. With the injuries this team has had, starting with losing Darnold for the first 4 games, Williamson, and then the heart of our D next to Adams in Mosley, Gase and the coaching staff were dealt a monumental blow to start the season. With a new system, players are already starting out with a handicap. We are now starting to see that system take shape, the players are more familiar with the system, thinking less, and are now executing with confidence. It takes time, and with the injuries, it took even longer. Jets fans are fickle impatient ass clowns, and didn't want to be a little patient, nor factor in the injuries we have had.
RevisIsland610
The season turned around when Darnold was so fed up after the Miami debacle he pleaded for Gase to implement things in the offense that he is good at and puts him and the team in a position to succeed. This is a novel concept, I know. Since that Miami embarrassment this team has scored 34 points per game and Darnold has looked like the QB we saw at the end of last year. Coincidence? I think not. 1

It's been reported by multiple sources than Darnold went to Gase after the Miami game. That and the fact that Beachum is playing are the 2 biggest factors why this offense looks so much better.

I’m thinking the way you just saw Gase design 5 consecutive Opening Drive scores (very well could have been 5 TDs) means he and Darnold are getting more and more on the same page. It’s a very good sign.

I don't want to go overboard here, but I see some positive things coming out of this season snd Adam Gase is showing himself to be the architect: 1) Despite Sammy's recent mind numbing interceptions in recent weeks, he's really starting to play well. I really wish Gase would call more roll outs as Sammy throws exceptionally well on the run. That aside, Gase's playcalling really seems to take advantage of what Sammy does well. He's helping the kid build confidence. This is a great approach for the future. 2) Jets offense has scored on their opening possession in 5 straight games. Did you ever believe this to be possible in about week 4? I don't think anyone saw this coming. Since about 2009, the Jets offense has always been notoriously slow starters. Taking one third of the game off before getting the offense going has been common. Now, you see Sam taking a leadership role and elevating the play of everyone around him. Could this be a trend we're witnessing? 3) Jets defense is number 1 against the run. This is really no secret, and Greg Williams has had a lot to do with this, but this downright stingy against the run. The secondary is marginal at best and the pass rush is almost non-existent, but the coaching staff is getting a lot out of the players. 4) The Jets could possibly win 7 games this year? Would anyone have thought that was possible in week 4? I know I didn't. It's nothing short of amazing if this sad sack group wins 7 games. If Gase gets this team to SIX wins, I believe he's done a truly good job considering how poor the talent is. The above things are all things Bowles never did unless he had Mac spending 50 million. So once again, I don't want to go overboard with praise, but if the above continues I can't see any earthly reason for Adam Gase not to be welcomed back next season GASE GAWD

Jetsfan80
Beachum has been bigger then anyone has stated. He’s always been about a league average LT, which is valuable. The difference between him and any other OT we have is massive.
