I view it as two multi-billion dollar businesses who know their customers very well. Typical season ticket holder likes tailgating more than the game itself, so it has world-class parking. A ton of it, all very close to the building. Very flat. Very black. Nicely painted lines, nicest lines in the NFL. You could cool a bag of charcoal on those lines very easily. Seagulls find them very convenient for targeting purposes too. Typical non-season ticket holder is too cheap to buy tickets, so need to keep the costs down. If they're not going to buy $40 tickets on Stubhub or $120 tickets on Ticketmaster, why build a $5B palace? That's the sad reality of the NY metropolitan area. Simple, really. If the fans were willing to pay more, they'd have built us more. SAR I 1

PSLs and ticket costs would have been meaningfully higher. Concessions would have been meaningfully higher. Traffic would have been meaningfully worse. Parking would have been meaningfully more expensive. No tailgating. These all sound like things that would make Jets fans happy. Don't forget, it was only going to have 60,000 seats. And being just a taxi away it would have had a ton more luxury suites and a ton more Japanese and European tourists. Instead of bemoaning visiting Seahawks fans they'd be crying about busloads of French and German fans who don't know what is going on. And, of course, ticket prices would have been insane in those conditions, non-season ticket holders would never find affordable seats.
