### Jets \ Bengals -- The Official Game Thread ###

Recommended Posts

True, but the reality is Anderson is by no measure a #1 WR.  It's not that Anderson couldn't have been done better, but it's just a laughable concept for the expectation level to be held higher for Anderson than it is for Darnold.  It's really just a matter of some regularly feeling the need to treat Jets' QB's like china dolls.  It was an awfully great rush to point the finger elsewhere on a terrible throw.
Shhh...

So.... winless teams wait to play the Jets to grow some hair on their chests?

Dalton is going to give the Jets trouble all day just like Fitz did with the Dolphins.
He always does

So I guess you guys are going to keep the “bad play by Robbie” thing going for a while, huh?
Darnold threw a poor ball, and Berrios’ was worse, but carry on...
Shhhh.....if we lose Robbie will be the scapegoat.

Both Sam and Robbie share equal responsibility for not getting that score.

That being said they wont get equal blame of course.

Robbie is a one trick, straight line 2nd tier wr.
Sam is a potential star QB

Who has the higher expectation, better talent and greater ability to cover up for the other player?

On another note...

The whole team looks flat and are looking like they have spent the last week drinking the green Gatorade instead of practicing.

It's not about not wanting to criticize Sam. He has to make a better throw. I think everyone agrees on that. But the reality is, not every pass is going to be a perfectly thrown ball. Receivers get paid to catch the ball and every pass isn't going to hit them in the chest. That catch has to be made in that spot. So did the one to Berrios which was right in his chest.
The Berrios miss was ALL on the wr...not even a debate there.

Look... I wouldn't say I'm 100% sold on him but that statement is just insane. The kid can play.

Sam is a below average jag. I don't see anyt star about him

That throw was fine.  Who the hell says it was on Sam?
Not my point... my point was it wasnt comparable to the throw to Robbie. One was a shared responsibility, the other was ALL on the wr.

NOW the Bengals decide to look like an NFL team?? They must have figured that if they cant win any other games this year they at least got a shot at this one.

Its just amazing how opinions shift so violently from a lil win streak to being diwn by just 7 in the 1st half
Its because of a lack of real faith in the first place, historically playing down to opponents and decades of losing.

Imagine what that would be like? There’s nobody in their stadium.
who the hell would be in their message board.
Today??? Every fan they ever had is on their today. It's the best shot they will have to cheer all year.
