I'm the furthest thing from an Anderson defender, but that one is far more on Darnold.  It would've been an easy TD if not for the throw.

A bad throw by Darnold doesn't excuse dropping a catchable ball. That was more on the guy who dropped a catchable pass.

True, but the reality is Anderson is by no measure a #1 WR.  It's not that Anderson couldn't have been done better, but it's just a laughable concept for the expectation level to be held higher for Anderson than it is for Darnold.  It's really just a matter of some regularly feeling the need to treat Jets' QB's like china dolls.  It was an awfully great rush to point the finger elsewhere on a terrible throw.

Darnold threw a bad pass. Robby has to catch that.

100%. It’s infinitely more annoying that Darnold missed him than it is that Anderson didn’t make the play.

False. Darnold did his job by getting the ball to where Robby could catch it. If you can get two hands and your body on a ball, you can catch it. Darnold threw a duck, albeit a catchable duck, The goat on that play is Robby.

So I guess you guys are going to keep the “bad play by Robbie” thing going for a while, huh?

Darnold threw a poor ball, and Berrios’ was worse, but carry on...

Robby dropped a catchable, poorly thrown pass. So I guess you are complicit in keeping the "bad play by Robbie" thing going for a while. Huh?

It should have been caught. It was also a duck. His deep ball needs a ton of work. They tend to die.

Agreed. It was an awful pass. Darnold needs to hit open receivers. Darnold didn't put Robby in the best position to catch that ball, but Robby needs to catch that.

Yeah, let’s just keep talking about it for another hour. 🙄

Yeah. Keep responding if you want it die. That is the best strategy.

Wow. I guess we’ll be talking about that wide open  TD pass the Bengals WR just dropped all day now too... 😇

For someone who doesn't want to talk about dropped passes, you sure do a lot of talking about dropped passes.

BS call! Boyd was not interfered with

That was a good call. If you don't turn your head, you are getting a PI called on you 99% of the time.

I think we are going to have the dubious honor of giving two no Win teams a Win. This is one of the most SOJ games I've seen.

Walloping a winning team the week before and pooping the bed the following week is the same old Jetsiests Jet thing ever. How many times have I watched this game over the past 40 years?

The least Jetsiest thing would be for us to make adjustments and make us forget about the first half. Let's hope for the best, but expect the worst.

I wouldn't want to coach this Swiss cheese team. Both Gase & GW are trying to mask huge gaping holes with really sh*tty players. The players HAVE GOT TO MAKE PLAYS when they are there.

We beat the Cowboys because guys dropped potential big plays. Robbie Anderson is not getting a pay day with this team. Way too inconsistent.

Williams is doing a better job of using patchwork players to play decent defense at times. Gase drives me crazy because there are times when he actually seems like the "offensive guru" he was advertised to be. Then there are his two runs up the gut and a screen play drives that makes me question if he is letting the opposing team call the plays. I don't believe that Gase is ever going to take this team anywhere, and I hope that he makes me eat my words.

QW is a bust.

plain and simple.

no great player goes 13 games without making one single “whoa wow” type play.

He is a bust

While I agree that a 3rd overall pick should have an immediate impact, some defensive greats take time to develop. The kid is young, and has shown that he has the ability to push two linemen into the QB.

I share your frustration with Macc picking a DL. I share your frustration that QW has not played up to his potential, but I do not for a second think that he is a bust. He is not Leo.
