Yes I supported and still support QW meanwhile you Baker Mayfield and Jonah Williams lovers are on radio silence on those 2 topics just like the tank for Marcus Mariota club which no longer exists

Part of the reason is I know QW will improve.  Baker is done this is it  he’s headed for 2-3 years of mediocrity until he retires and Jonah might play one full season before retirement

Keep it coming pal... your self-righteous nature just continues to deliver ammunition.

You also said he missed a game which is false.

Sprinkled in also doesn't equal the most snaps on his team at the DT position.

The truth is you looked at some stats and made assumptions. Assumptions that were wrong.

He missed Week 10 vs Cleveland

Well if you claim that I said verbatim the jets should draft Rudolph 3 overall can you post a link or screenshot to embarrass me at least?

I did say Rudolph would be better than Baker and ultimately that will be true

Yeah, well atleast @Paradis isnt a liar.

The only reason why you're in this room is because I've been wondering why you're so quick to talk about my wrongs in a room that I show up in daily, yet when it comes to your love affair with QW you've been quite silent in this room, until you had to say something and the moment you did you mentioned Mayfield.

Lame.

I'll take it, along with the win that a dumb ass Dolphin gave us by going for the INT instead of the tackle, since Sam also played like sh*t and was beat by a kicker.

Keep lying to yourself. Then again, that's your M.O. anyway.

It's a shame he got hurt today because he was finally showing some flashes. Even with his miscues (facemask and missing Fitz) he was having his best game of the season.

Did they say what happened I don't recall hearing.  All things considered he was pretty disruptive today.

This guy is Leo.  Everyhting about him is leoesque so far except that he is getting hurt more.

Almost does something on a regular basis.

I actually think he will be better than Leo if he sticks here as I feel we will have better D coaching.  (I am hoping)

I will be shocked if he is ever a really good player and will be astounded if he plays anywhere near his draft position.

And though McCagnan will get punished for that pick and others this year the fail lays squarely at the door of Chris johnson

The main deficiency of the Jets over the years has  been player development. We've had plenty of very good players--for other teams.

Williams can be good because he has all the measurables. It's up to the coaches to get more out of him. But, seriously, the criticism he receives as a rookie interior lineman is way underserved and just about the bitterness of his detractors. It's not his fault Leonard Williams didn't pan out. Don't heap all the Jets failures on this kid.

I think he is more powerful than Leo. What they have in common is they are both not sack artists. But when I see Quinnen on the field he looks tough to move and steady against the run. He’s not an overnight sensation but he could end up being a ten year starter .

He's not more powerful than Leo, he's faster and quicker which should equate to a better career. I'll take fast and quick over brute strength every day of the week.

Foly and Shepherd are a pretty solid tandem. I think Q will be better than Leo, but I would entertain trading Q in the offseason. We have such a misallocation of resources. We could literally trade Q and H Anderson and still be fine along the DL. This is after trading Leo. Golly.

Trade Q for a 1st, trade Jamal for a 1st and 2nd. Go into the draft with 3 1st, 2 2nd, and 2 3rd. Use those picks on the OL, CB, and WR. It's risky because Jamal is already a legit player and Q has shown signs, but I think if JD drafts well, we'd be better off.

We need 3x first round picks bad to fix this roster

This could be the scouting report of like 6 of our last 8 first round draft picks.

For the most part we are seeing you can't predict greatness just because a guy is drafted in the top 3. If you get a good starter out of it you haven't done that terribly. Leo, Wilk, Sheldon etc most of them are good NFL starters. Their roles might have been changed and they might not be sack specialists. Aaron Donald was the 13th overall pick in the 2014 draft. JJ Watt was the 11th overall pick in 2011. Drafting just isn't that precise to guarantee a top five pick will be a superstar.

Demario Davis comes to mind, Danny Woodhead, Snacks, do you doubt it? I'm not saying all-pro in all cases, just that the Jets have drafted players with some measurables that haven't panned out here but who contribute to good teams.

What I'm trying to convey is that most players fall within specifications, e.g., 4.3 40, lift this, how high you jump, etc. And most of players drafted have played against each other, so, there's really not a whole lot of difference in physical ability between most players. Yeah, there are freaks outside of the norm.

So, with that in mind, I think the Jets have mostly failed to get much out of the players with talent they've drafted. Probably the most egregious would be the handling of DTs Wilkerson, Coples, and Leonard Williams. But Vlad Ducasse comes to mind as well as numerous WRs, Stephen Hill included.

Just like any life, the formative years are everything. You mess up a dude's development and he may never recover, even though he has exactly the same talent or more than other successful players. It's all about the system in place for draft picks. And this is where the Jets have failed abysmally over the last decade.
