Wrong Anderson you miserable bastard

Henry Anderson is who is, he isn't a JJ Watt type of DL.

Not miserable at all just call it as i see it and some can't handle the truth.

He looks absolutely lost out there. He has gone from being a play maker to being a liability.

It's easy to scrutinize any player when you witness a game like we just saw against a team they should have beaten.  The OL was so bad - it just seemed like on every play the pocket collapsed so fast - the bad penalties - the poor run blocking.  I'd settle for an inconsistent Maye if they just fix the dam line.

not only is the OL respsosnible for Sam, they are now responsible for marcus maye playing badly...

Yet they held 20.... O scores 14 rather than 6 you got 14 to 20, O keeps opposing  O of field while scoring maybe Bengals only score 14. You got a game.

18. Two were scored against the Jets O.

Having zero edge rush threat makes everyone worse, particularly the secondary. Making the Quinnen over Allen pick even more maddening.

Have you seen a guy recently who is in position to make plays and never makes any of them? He is killing us .

If he's "absolutely lost out there", how is he "in position to make plays"?

This team is filled with depth/complimentary players. But we can't count on them to take over games or produce on a consistent basis. I like to think all this team needs to do is pile on elite guys, and we have a complete team! Easy peasy!

Yup.  Time for front office to take a visit to the Elite Store.  Aren't they supposed to have one of those over at American Dream?  But the Elite Store opening was delayed until spring.  I'm sure Joe D will be a frequent visitor.

Yes 22 total, only 20 on the D, no?

Adams was hurt, so Maye was probably covering a lot more ground and less sure of what was going on beside him.

Mahomes, Cook, Watson...not only would they have been great picks, but they made pure common sense at the time.

Maccagnan’s MO every year was to take the most conservative BPA and consensus pick in the 1st Rd...that’s a job protector.  I swear he would have taken 5 punters in the 1st Rd if they were consensus picks, and then throw sh*t against the wall in every Round after the 1st...the reason being that he could look like a genius if he hits.  The Hackenberg picks comes to mind first and foremost.

When analyzing every move Maccagnan made I don’t think there is a person on earth who could explain how Maccagnan had any kind of coherent strategy or plan to ever build a roster like a GM is supposed to. Nothing he did had an iota of common sense.

As stupid as that mofo Maccagnan is he actually has some Maccevellian traits haha.  Guy is almost straight up Evil.  Everything he did was for himself..not the Jet franchise or fans.

I’ll bet those f*ckin coke bottle glasses on his face are nothing more than a prop too, like the 99 coffee cups on his desk, to make him appear intelligent, similar to a Legal Aid lawyer telling a murder defendant to wear glasses.

I get it, agree, he sucked and left us with deep holes to fill.  It’s what led to Gase getting him axed, has left him unemployed and most of us thinking/hoping JD won’t ignore positions like OL, Wr etc.  Don’t need the reminders of all his mistakes Macc made.  He was useless

With Quinnen, Shep and Foley Fat on our roster the next few years you can expect to lead the league in run defense. Q will only get better.

safties in this system dont necessarily pop on film

Yes, its Gregg Williams' fault that our # 6 pick and early 2nd round pick Safety tandem isn't "popping out".

You'd think the  Elite Store was owned by Pfizer - the Johnson's would never purchase from a competitor

Should we trade him for 7 seventh round pick?  We need all the picks we can for the rebuild.

Tough job when you have to cover for the other safety who is at the line and running forward 9 snaps out of 10.

Adams gets called Polumalu here meanwhile Maye who is actually better in coverage oh he sucks

Mosely coming back next year is the only reason I have any optimism

Dude was lights out awesome in week 1 before he got hurt.  He was really good in Baltimore too

Sooner had Dalvin Cook, and $52 million to spend on other players.

Mac could have drafted Kenny Golladay or  Kareem Hunt instead of Ardarius Stewart

If you want to take it to that extreme of sarcasm thats fine.. Just stating a fact that most times you wont even see them on the screen unless the ball is thrown deep.

Maye has played reasonably well this season.  He has missed a few big plays, and should have another INT or two, but a lot of it is a product of what this defense is putting on the field each day.

Playing safety as deep as required in this system is great for breaking on the ball, but when the quarterback has plenty of time to set his feet and throw an accurate ball down the sideline its hard for the safety to get over in time regardless of the technique he's playing.  The lack of consistent pressure on the quarterback makes things tougher for him.

I would argue that Adams is having his best year in this system as well, greg is not using him as much as a Deep cover 2 safety, instead going to a nickle look moving him down into the box and either using him to cover underneath or to blitz, so his INT chances will be lower than normal deep safeties.
