Our offense roster is really, really bad

Recommended Posts

This is not news, everyone knows this, but it was so painfully obvious yesterday against the lowly Bengals.

We have quite a bit worse offensive roster than the Bengals do. The Bengals have some WR's who can play, they have some D-Lineman who can get after the QB (at least against our crap line), Mixon is a good back. The Bengals roster is not good, but its better than ours is.

Our Oline is woeful, absolutely woeful, and our WR's are atrocious as well. You see the Bengals WR's reach out and grab the ball with strong hands in tight windows on contested plays. You see many WR's doing this all over the league. Our WR's never, ever make a big time catch, hell, they are lucky to make the routine ones and even drop those too.

Our WR's get very little to no separation, they are just terrible. Quincy was a big loss, and can not be counted on moving forward. Robby is fine as a stretch the D type guy, but absolutely nothing more than that.

This off-season we need to focus on OL and WR big time. Id like to see the majority of the draft resources go to these two positions, and also the FA money.

You can win in this league with a mediocre defense, which is what we have. You cannot win in this league with a terrible line and terrible WR's.

We don't need an OBJ or Megatron WR, but we need guys who can get open and catch the damn ball. We don't have that.

Nah just the oline. But the oline is any offenses motor, if the motor is shot, its not going to run correctly.

Interesting that you didn't come to this well thought out conclusion after we won 3 straight games scoring 34 points each week.

Ive been at that conclusion for quite a while, those wins masked our deficiencies, but they were there on full display yesterday

Just odd that you didn't make this post during that stretch where I offense was looking really good. I guess just a coincidence.....

Yeah, what about the three-week stretch where the team wasn’t a horrific public embarrassment? Suck it, SOJFs

Snowflakes shut down pretty much the entire state of NY today. Much like the Bengals did yesterday. Such a low intelligence insult.

How come Sam Darnold’s record is 4-5 in 2019 and not 9-0?  i don’t understand. He must s*ck.

Amazing this team even has 1 Win.

our roster is bad but our coaching brings out their worst

right now look at the steelers

they have a 4th string qb out there-sam is better I dont think anybody would argue they would chose duck over sam

they have a 3rd string rb out there-ours are better-nobody would take snell over bell

they have terrible wr core with juju out-ours is better (not good but ours is better )-robby crowder and DT are better than DJ and Washington

there te and ours -about = vance and  griffin about the same

their line is better but even with two starters out and missing pouncy they find a way

If Gase was coaching the steelers the  team would have way less wins then they do now-he has no idea how to game plan on either side of the ball

What level intelligence insult is warranted for fans that can't handle losing a game when we are a measly 3 point favorite?

We were 4-7 and going nowhere. We had just played 3 great games in a row and were facing a team desperate for a win. The spread was -3. Nothing crazy happened on Sunday. We are a below average team that had a bad game and lost to a worse team that was significantly more motivated to get their 1st win.

Panthers lost to the Skins.

Eagles lost to the Fish.

The Titans blew out the Colts.

The Browns lost to a 3rd string QB.

The Jaguars got blown out by an average Bucs team.

The Chargers lost to a 3rd string, rookie QB.

Those were all "embarrassments" per the twitter definition. But the reality is that those are all things that happen every Sunday.

Fans can handle a bad loss. If you’ve made the playoffs in the last ten years. Or it was a bump on an otherwise great season. Turns out it is neither of those things. It’s just a bad team that’s been bad for a while with very little signs that it’s going to get better any time soon. Maybe just don’t insult people at all if you can’t understand the frustration of this team.

I can't understand the frustration? I've be a fan since the early 80s. Each bad loss hurts but I move on with my life.  But the loss on Sunday isn't even in the discussion of one of the worst losses this team has had.

It's  not even a bad loss. We get a better draft pick thanks to that loss.

The good news, is the same. Darnold looks great. He was making all the throws yesterday. THe drops/holding penalties killed his chances of having another really good statistical game.

Have some perspective.

I don't think it's news breaking, but the D roster is really, really bad too. And the special teams are nothing to write home about either.

The Jets have the least talented roster this side of Miami. The difference is, Miami has a football "coach" while the Jets have an X's & O's genius. So, Miami will improve while the Jets will have ups and downs entirely dependent upon whether the O coach has a game plan that will work from the get-go, because we all damn sure well know he ain't making any adjustments.
