Are we rooting for the Jets to win or lose tomorrow?

This is the first game of the year they play with zero chance of making the playoffs. (save your mathematically still in it BS) At this time I usually switch from rooting for them to win to rooting for loses. I have been very right in the past that losing these games would make them better off. The biggest example is last game of the year when every body was so happy Geno threw a perfect QB rating and kicked the Dolphins out of the playoffs. That directly changed our first round pick from Odell Beckam JR into draft bust Calvin Pryor. Our great upset win vs the Bills, which was largely due to kick returner Andre Roberts and a last second 4th down run, cost us the first pick in the draft. Probably could have traded that pick for a haul for Kyle Murray or got Nick Bosa instead of Quinen. So are you rooting for a meaningless win?

Yeah, but this team was bad before decimated with injuries and it’s tougher and tougher to fine positives. Blessed Austin is pretty much only thing to watch and root  for. Rest of the team is like Aids.

Lose by the largest margin in NFL history.  Chris Johnson's head explodes.  Woody makes an emergency trip back to New York.  He fires Gase and brings back Rex.  Douglas builds an improved roster for 2020 and Rex returns the Jets to the championship game again and this time they win.

I just explained how beating the Dolphins with nothing to play for cost us so much pain and you ask this question? Hell they lose that game, Jets get Odel Beckham Jr and maybe the Jets look competent enough to give Rex more time to right the ship. The last 5 years could be different we wouldn't have had to suffer through that nightmare Toilet Bowles! All because they had to over achieve in that last game :(

I suppose the Redskins will take that left tackle to replace Williams. 

I'm conflicted. I want to see the Jets win but I also want Douglas to have as high a draft pick and possible to improve the roster around Darnold.

Agree but the draft comes after free agency so we don’t even know what the top need will be. Gase isn’t going anywhere so they might as well win. Might as well show other players around the league that they can come here for something besides a check

Draft position is overrated anyway 

Not this year. a top three pick will be real valuable. much more so than last year. They'll be four or five players other teams will be drooling to trade up for. that wasn't the case last year.

Root for Darnold and Anderson to have great games. Plus, root for them to lose. Quietly.

I was going to post some smart a** remark about not caring either way, but since you’re going, I’ll root for you to get a good parking spot and see the Jets win.
