Popular Post nico002
This fan base is atrocious. They haven’t had a QB in 60 years but they can’t tolerate anything but perfection when a 22 year old stud lands on their laps... the kid threw for 270, 2 TDs, and a game winning drive... without Bell or a TE on the field. Was it his best game? Of course not, but this one goes in the positive column for ANY QB in the NFL 17 1 1

Joe W. Namath
Darnold was awful today. A good qb would have won that game by 3 tds. 3 10
Irish Jet
I like Sam but he was dreadful in the second half today. Stat sheet doesn't tell the story. Should have better early only for some killer drops and could have been far worse later on. Missed so many big plays, especially to Robby and it could have killed us. He was playing a terrible Miami team who couldn't even score a TD. I think some of the reactions to Sam are horrible. Anyone writing him off can f*ck off. But it's a big season for him next season. He needs to show serious progression or we may have to look at other options. 1

Or this year? Well, today is one thing. He did not have his best game today. However, its hard to look at this season as a whole and pass much judgement on him considering how awful the O-line has been. I hate to sound like a broken record but more often than not he simply cannot operate the way most NFL QBs are able to operate because he has zero protection. He's still a young player and if you fix the O-line I believe you will have a Franchise QB on your hands because you will allow him to grow into one. This will be top priority for JD in the offseason. 3 1

Popular Post Matt39
The Miami Dolphins defense has been historically bad this season. That performance in the second half was alarming. At Baltimore on a short week would be tough for any QB- if Darnold plays like that on Thursday he's going to get destroyed. The covering of the ears and saying "He's a franchise QB" doesnt help anyone. He's currently what- maybe in the top 20 of NFL QB's? He's certainly in the lower tier of the younger guys. Jameis Winston threw for like 500 yards today and 4 TD's and the league views him as a joke and we have fanboys here worshipping Darnold? Come on now. Have higher expectations. He's playing the most important position in sports. Wanting/expecting a sure thing at the position is a good thing. 6 1

Or this year? Isn’t leading your team downfield for the game winning drive “getting better”? Sure he had a mediocre day but he got the results when it mattered most. Establishing a winning culture even when not at your best is at least as important as Darnold’s development. And it could’ve been worse. I’m sure you saw how your boy in Cleveland played today.
Popular Post jetstream23
On a crappy roster that's comprised of underachievers and nobodies Jets fans choose to complain about our promising 22 year old QB and our Pro Bowl Safety more than any other players. It's amazing. Some fanbases have complete homers who blindly root for players regardless of how bad they are. We have the opposite and choose to demoralize the more promising guys who are out there leaving it all on the field. It's just weird. I'd be surprised if Darnold sticks around for a second contract. Who would want to play for this organization, coach and fanbase any longer than he has to? 5 3
Scott Dierking
Darnold had a very bad second half today. My one thought is that I think he needs to develop a thicker skin. He seems to allow one bad play to make him more conservative and go into a shell.

Tom Brady was 24 when he got his first ever start in the NFL, and Darnold is 22 years old right now with 23 games of playing experience, and a handful of DAMN games already, I’d like to see what Sam does between the ages of 24-27, I’d bet even with a crap roster he could go 9-7 no problem. The future is bright at the QB position. 5
