SO we want to Trade Bell and Adams and keep GAse?

I had a conversation with @CTM about this.

His hypothesis was just as love struck as they were about Macc before he got the boot last offseason.

They'll probably do the same now and just kick Gase out around that time.

I think winning 3 of 4 increases the likelihood that he actually stays but what CJ said last month was as meaningless crushers promises to start his diet next Monday

Where is any of this coming from? You guys are reading too many fans on twitter give their opinions as facts.

That is because a lot of these "Fans", really do not think for themselves, their opinions go where the wind does, otherwise they would have absolutely nothing to talk about here.

Racking my brain trying to come up with a Jets back that did better than 3.2 YPC and a DB that pulled in more than one garbage-time INT per season but I’m having trouble pulling up these advanced stats

Pretty sure this is the source of the rumors - from Ralph Vacchiano at SNY.

https://www.sny.tv/jets/news/sources-jets-might-look-to-trade-leveon-bell-jamal-adams-in-offseason/312112526

According to SNY's NFL Insider Ralph Vacchiano, the Jets may look into trading running back Le'Veon Bell and safety Jamal Adams this offseason.

Bell is in his first season with the team, after signing a four-year, $52.5 million deal with $35 million guaranteed on March 13.

"Obviously you know he's out today with his illness. It's the latest blow in what's shaping up as the worst season of his career," Vacchiano said. "But the question now is, will it be his only season with the Jets? Multiple sources around the NFL told me this week that they really do expect that the Jets will make Bell available this offseason."

Bell has 183 carries for 589 rushing yards and three touchdowns through 12 games this season. He's averaging just 49.1 yards rushing per game, a big dropoff from the 86.1 yards rushing per game he averaged in five seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

"And that the Jets could be even more receptive to a trade than they weren't the deadline. They did get several calls on him back then, and their asking price was high. One source said it didn't seem like the Jets were really willing to move him then, but since then it's become pretty clear that Adam Gase can't find a way to make him the center piece of their offense, or doesn't want to."

As for Adams, the star safety's name was tossed around during the trade deadline. The rumors upset Adams, though GM Joe Douglas denied that the team was shopping him.

"He's another player that league sources still expect the Jets might be willing to trade," Vacchiano said. "The Cowboys, of course, were in hot pursuit at the trading deadline, and they are likely to try again this winter."

Adams has one year left on his rookie contract, after being selected with the sixth overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft. He has a career-high 6.5 sacks this season, along with two forced fumbles and one pick-six.

You have IRL conversations with @CTM? Don’t the chloroform and pillowcase  impair your ability to understand what he’s saying?

right because QW at 3 changed our whole team!! So did Leo! So did Devin Smith in the 2nd round! So did Hackenberg! Should I go on???You got a good player, keep him ya crazies

A good safety helps you this much  (finger and thumb really close together)

A good Olineman and decent WR help you this much (holds hands wide apart)

The guys we have picked high are in positions that are easily replaced.

ILBs we spent a fortune on both got hurt and the drop off has been nill.

We dumped leo and Quinnen has done litte and been hurt and we have one of the best rush defenses in the league.

Adams has been here 3 years and we are avging about 5 wins a year.

We have to take those assets that can fetch something and remake the team.  That is why Adams should be dealt, some team will give us a lot of assets.

The same sources that claimed we were having a fire sale at the trade deadline? No, sources from the Jets are cited or even alluded to in the article. It’s an article about someone’s opinion of the opinions of others unattached to the Jets organization.

Hang on homeboy key word is SHOPPING.

It's like when you go to the liquor store and look at all the expensive scotch and bourbon and walk out with bottle of Mad Dog 20/20 and a shooter of Fireball.

Or like when you go to the bodega and look at the deli meats in the cooler and walk out with a bologna lunchable.

JD can shop all he wants doesn't mean anyone is going to buy or he's gonna sell.

Carry on.

Geeze @Eaton Beaver I didn't realize I had to explain how the internet worked. There is this thing called "google".

Reporters and fans post stuff there. If you are super lazy and can't Google, you can use some websites like CBS sports, NFL.com anything that covers the jets..hell fb/twitter will actually use your internet search history to suggest things like jets trade rumors to you and they pop up right on your feed.

Idjit.

Keep Bell.  We’re not getting anything better than a 4th for him he can still be effective he’s just not a full time back anymore

trade for David Johnson and have him and Bell committee next year

NO keep Bell and draft a speedy change of pace RB like mosty all the other NFL teams.

That kid from Clemson Travis Etienne would be perfect.

NO more old re-treads at RB

Wr is about to become a hole  in the roster.  We need RBs that can make plays as WRs to make up for not having sh t at WR
