It’s more or less a crackback call.  However, it looked like he engaged with his hands and shouldn’t be a call.

Dude was running full tilt at the QB, who had already released the ball. Crack back? Yeah, my ass.

That play was outlandish enough that it deserves it's own thread imo.

We have had some bizarre calls and non calls, but that was the oddest yet. That Perriera defended it was remarkable. They let some much holding go, but you call a guy for engaging for the front and partially blocking on the defender's side, and blocking to defend a QB after he lets the ball go? The whole idea we have been told is to protect the QB; if he doesn't make that block, likely would be RTP. And at a loss what was "behind the back" about the block.

My head exploded when they made that call.  My first thought was would they ever make that call against the Patriots ???  Not in a million effin years .
