Has Maye actually tackled anyone this season or engaged in any football activity on the field.

He's actually tackled 52 people this year.  Defended 5 passes.  Not an impressive stat, but Maye has had a decent year considering what else has gone on with this team this year.  Why would you want to attack Maye?  LOL

No attack just judging on field play.

52 tackles in 13 games?  5 pass deflections in 13 games?

Good news.  I heard "injuries happen" and this is all pretty normal.

It's a shame we'll never see Macc's vision with all of these injuries. He built a playoff type roster and it was wasted this year.

Hopefully JD will be able to build on the foundation and we can stay somewhat healthy in 2020.

Exactly... there are many things wrong with this team but Maye is not one of them. Dude is fighting fires back there. This team has had next to no pash rush for decades, anytime a DB gets next to no support up front then being relatively anonymous for a full season is an actual achievement worthy of praise.

this is actually why Revis was actually even more incredible than he was given credit for. Rex schemed some pass rush but still it wasn’t all that great.

people forget that Ed Reed & Troy Polamalu had actual all pro’s all around them making life for QB’s and WR’s hell....it’s a lot easier to look dynamic and make splashy plays under those circumstances

He is #14 in tackles for FS this year and if you watch the games you can tell because he has been involved.

So stop judging on field play by a random stat line with no context.

Well for arguments sake to be fair  he's done a helluva lot less than our All-Pro Safety who many seem to hate and want traded.

Field play is what it's all about this is the NFL not a popularity contest.

Meh he’s had butter fingers this year but he has almost had about 4-5 of em’ picked off. I know almost doesn’t really count but I think the thing to keep in mind here is that he has been in good position to make those plays. He’s where he is suppose to be in coverage and has laid the wood on a few hits.

He's like Gilchrist. Just kind of there. Unfathomable the Jets drafted safeties back to back in rounds 1 and 2.

I mean yeah, good, solid safety you wish they drafted in the fourth instead of the second round. You’d hope a little more impact out of a second round pick but only a few elite safeties can make the impact you want without better players surrounding them ie pass rushers and better CBs. Maye is totally fine and not a problem

I remember physically pounding the table with a fist at a bar when the Jets took Maye and left Dalvin Cook on the board.  In hindsight, having Cook now would have meant the Jets never needed to spend $$$$ on Bell, although they would have had to find a FS.

Marcus Maye, Jamison Crowder, Robby Anderson

Am I missing anyone else?

Pretty nuts that Maye is the one guy to stay healthy on defense.

hard to believe.  does this include the special teamers?  many players start on specials and then get moved into the offense or defense lineups?
