Darnold Climbing List of All-time Great Jets

Recommended Posts

The terrible history this team has with QB's is really remarkable

He is almost a lock to finish 1st overall.

A testament to how awful Jets QBS have been and the modern pass heavy offenses.

Matt Ryan is on pace to break the all time Passing TD record set just last night.

7 of the top 12 Passing TD leaders are active players.

All lot of this is apples and oranges due to eras and trends but he is 4th in competition % for Jets QB's with more than 500 attempts

Since he is 11th in attempts (41 behind Dorow who he just passed in yards), 10th in yards doesn't mean all that much

My god that is sad.   🤣

Imagine.  Kid has barely played ONLY a little over 1 1/2 years in total and ALREADY he is in the Top 10 hahaha.

Wish the clocks could be turned back and the Jets had hired “The 3 Blind Mice” to run their front office after Sonny Werblin sold the team.

If there's any list where he's behind Geno Smith beyond his 5th NFL start, it's a list not worth mentioning. 10th Leading Passer on the Jets is not much of an accomplishment. It means he has a pulse and is not a Petty-Nagle-Hackenberg type.

I’ll take it!

pretty sad list.  not that some of those qb's were darn good but have any of them besides namath lasted more than 6 seasons?  chaddy came close but was injured for about 2.  todd was qb from 78-84. obrien from 84 to 91 or 92.  boomer maybe 3 seasons. geno 2 seasons.  fitz 2 seasons. sanchez 4 seasons. vinny 3 seasons.

much as people want to beat on the hc for the team's success, without a decent qb there is none.

Josh Allen is 11th in yards for the Bills, same length of history as the Jets

Mayfield is 11th for the Browns which includes history going back to WWII (names on the list include Otto Graham). He should pass Testeverde for 9th by year end.

So comparing it to Darnold's ranking, no big deal either way

also, while we're on stats here, Leonard Williams left here 2nd on the list for QB hits, 13 behind Wilkerson (started keeping those stats in '06)

Holy crap that’s depressing

Consider that before this week Drew Brees would be number 10 all time jets passing yards... if you only counted his 2011 season.
