SummerofSam14 144 #1 Posted December 20, 2019 https://www.si.com/nfl/jets/news/chad-pennington-on-firing-adam-gase-thats-not-the-answer So we got Chad and Rex Ryan’s take. Anyone know what Curtis Martin thinks of Gase? Keep in mind Chad works for the Jets (does film breakdowns on the team website) so he’s not going to say anything negative. IIRC, per Chad, we Jets fans should not complain... ever. because it is a huge "privilege" we have to be Jets fans. So we should all STFU. Some things cannot be forgotten.

rangerous 3,875 #9 Posted December 20, 2019 maybe the jets should hire chad as oc or qb coach? imo he'd get along with darnold because they both look for the right guy to throw to. chaddy just never had the arm strength to really zip the ball out there.

For him to go off on someone that earned the right to be in that room that day from grinding in a very competitive industry is all you every needed to know about that fraud.

Sonny Werblin 4,504 #21 Posted December 20, 2019 Initially, I gotta say I'm pleased to see the organization has its sh*t together enough to get Chad out there supporting Gase in a story authored by a third party. This level of competence is rare for the Jets. And, this part of the article interested me the most. Quote In addition, he is the head coach of Sayre School, a small private school in Kentucky that hasn’t had a football team in several decades. Getting into coaching, whether at the college or NFL level, is something that Pennington said interests him at some point. Does Sayre School have a football team now? Or, is Chad the HC of a non-existent team? And if Chad wants to coach in the NFL, offer him the QB coach job for the Jets. He'd certainly do a better job than Dowell Logjam is as pretend OC and sometime QB coach. Even Chad's detractors, who felt he simply did not have the physical goods to succeed in the NFL as a QB, would have to acknowledge that he understood "how" to play the QB position. Plus, he played QB for the Jets and was good with the media, so he can help Sam on that front it he ever needed it. 2

Jetster 13,010 #32 Posted December 20, 2019 Why does everyone HATE Chad Pennington? We probably win a Super Bowl if Herm Edwards doesn't play like a pussy & set Brien up for failure in one of the toughest places to kick in winter. Yea, take a knee & lose a few more yards. Herm let that lucky azz Giants fumble go to his big finely quaffed afro with the beautiful razor cut part. YOU PLAY TO WIN THE GAME! Or....take a knee...try a FG. 1
