Great Stat for Gase

During broadcast a stat was listed for the JETS.

2019 JETS average 4.6 yards per play. The JETS worst since 2004 with Herm.
Also the leagues worst for the year

Gase - “he’s coaching where the league’s going“ Christopher Johnson

Does this include those 3 games where our league worst OL and our 3rd string QB played? Not that our offense would’ve been good but that stat would be different.

Exactly.... the handful of games with Falk playing QB behind our trash O Line is a huge reason for this stat

How many wins do you think a "good" coach gets out of this roster factoring all the injuries?

10-11? I assume you're a mccagnan truther then?

He’s got a QB that’s almost 1-1 in touchdowns to turnovers, played a 3rd stringer for a month, and has one of the worst lines in the league. Ryan Griffin was his best weapon on offense and he got knocked out like a month ago. If he took more risks we’d likely look like the Steelers did on offense today. This offense has layers upon layers of problems but I have no idea how anyone thinks they can accurately assess anything Gase at this point.

It’s probably the only fair argument you can give him. His entire career to date he’s had mostly garbage to work with. Some OC’s can still make it work better than he has. But he may be a guy that can thrive with the right talent...there are disasters who just suck no matter what you give them... So heres hoping for 2020

Stop with your rational thinking.

Sure you can. You can assess the three years with the Dolphins. On the whole, his offense are bottom of the barrel year in and year out.

Careful, some folks think that because we've eeked out wins vs. equally flawed teams, that none of this can be true or matter.

Steelers were just waiting for the other shoe to drop on this season. Their record was a mirage, they are a bad football team.

Pitts has won 8 games with second and third string QB.  But our fraud coach couldn’t even manage  a single TD from his second or third string QB.  Imagine where this team would be if we had another “defensive genius” fraud like our last bozo Todd Bowles instead of Gregg Williams?

Since the Steelers have the 3rd ranked Defense in the league to prop up their offense is the Jets record Gregg Williams fault?

But....but the Dolphins had injured players and, and a bad QB whose doing quite well now and, and the Dolphin team was banged up and, and Ajayi and Landry got dumped because someone didn’t like them and, and the dolphins had injuries.

All fair for a first year HC with no experience. But, Gase had 3 years of suck prior to even coming here. Are you going to give Rex or Macc the benefit of doubt if they struggle their first year with another team even under dismal circumstances? I know most of you wouldn’t after what we saw here for multiple years. I wouldn’t.

If it weren’t for Williams’ defense (16th DVOA) propping up wins in 3 games where the offense only managed 1 or 2 TDs, Gase’s failures (30th DVOA) would be more clear to some than they currently seem.

Dude pay attention, our fraud couldn’t even get his second or third string QB throw for a single TD and his strength is his offense, crazy.  No defense in the world would help the ineptitude of Gase.
