In all seriousness- do you think Gase really doesnt know how to call the #goodplays...or is the QB not the guy?

Reading between the lines I feel the Gase/Darnold marriage is on ice and it's going to be on the Johnson's to decide who they trust more. We'll probably get one more year with the Woody transition, but I wouldnt be shocked if we get shocked this offseason.

Speaking of getting tedious, that good plays schtick is getting a bit tedious.

You seem to understand football reasonably well, but appear to think coaching has zero to do with player success?

How do you explain Joe Burrow going from a complete dumpster fire of a player one year to the Heisman run away and #1 overall pick the next.  Is that all just Joe Burrow making unprecedented leaps in one off-season by himself?  Or did something with a new coach click with him?

Are you watching the game?  In what world does this team not suck?

First off. They’re winning.

Second, the team is awful. Darnold isn’t the problem though.

there are people on this board literally and seriously saying the Jets should move on from Sam.  And using a game in the rainstorm as evidence for as to why.

What does that have to do with Darnold being scared to step into throws or up in the pocket?

What the **** are you talking about! Are you just repeating jay feely nonesense? Are you talking about the play at the end of the half? No one was open...

you really don't..  a combination of our pop warner and JV teams went 7-9 this year never quitting once along the way.  It's actually kind of promising.

Varsity players coming back and a good JD offseason and we're in business.

I couldn't give two sh*ts about the team "not quitting".  That's bare minimum expectations.

If you want to make a long list of excuses for our 4th straight losing season, go right ahead.  But that's not how any of this works.  This team sucks, and JD has a ton of work to do.

That was a terrible pass. Brown was wide the f open in the end zone and Darnold crapped himself.

You’re an idiot. That’s a catch that any NFL player makes 99/100 times. It was a routine catch at best. They are playing in a rainstorm... what the **** more do you want.... dumbass

1) Who cares.

2) Agreed with the first sentence.  But Darnold is absolutely PART of the problem until he proves otherwise.

3) I'm not advocating moving on from Sam just yet.  But drastic improvement is needed in 2020 to say he's "the guy" as a definitive statement.

4) Jesus, the rainstorm.  Come on.  We play in the northeast and its December.  Bad weather is part of the deal for us.  I'm not exactly expecting us to put up 30 points but this offense looks completely incompetent against the Buffalo B team.  Expect better.

Can someone explain to me why Gase after the first series does not keep going with the quick passing game ?

This seems to be his thing, let’s go away from what’s working.  I mean the wildcat call when your QB was on fire was mind boggling.

Coaching certainly matters. I do not think Gase is a good coach. Sam Darnold is going to finish last in DYAR and DVOA in his second season. Even with better coaching- what exactly is the longterm upside here? The Jets need a cant miss surefire player at quarterback.
