I haven't been more proud of the Jets since 2010, just a tremendous job of overcoming injuries, illnesses, retirements, and the hype media nonsense.  Most coaches would have folded or had their teams turn into a backstabbing mess.  Coach held it together and got backups and backups-to-backups to play beyond their abilities.

Congratulations Adam Gase and all the coaches and players.  Next season is going to be epic.  Can't wait!

Between the roster Maccagnan left us and the injuries, it was a tough season. Gase did a really nice job.

I think I predicted 7-9 or 6-10. They improved as the season went on. I definitely see no reason why next year they cant be a legitimate playoff team.

I still want him fired. Darnold looked awful today as well as a lot of games and the team hasn’t beaten anyone worth talking about. Gase is a sh*t HC.

Gase did an EXCEPTIONAL job.

Name another Jets season this snakebit and full of injury where the head coach did something this impressive.  Answer?  Parcells 1999.  And that was a Super Bowl roster.  This group?  Incredible accomplishment to finish on a 6-2 run.

We knocked the Cowboys, Raiders, and Steelers out of the playoffs.  We won 6 of our last 8 games.  We were 5-3 at home.

All of this with the most injured roster in the entire NFL and the most injuries in team history.

This is an incredible accomplishment and something worth celebrating.

Weak second half schedule capped off by a team resting their starters most of the day. A 6-2 finish, where the “2” represents losses to two teams who hadn’t won a game before facing the Jets this year. 

At a bare minimum, this is a work in progress. Darnold needs to make the jump next year he failed to make this year.

I didnt watch the game but i read that both “ starting guards” were out and their back ups played    Did that have any impact?

1-7 start...to finish 6-2 is impressive and even more so with all the major injuries we had.

If the players really hated Gase they could have mailed it in, revolted, etc. The team just didn’t have the time, luck, or talent to make the playoffs this year. Give Gase credit.

Hopefully for 2020:

- Joe Douglas can get us a real roster.

- Gase can continue to tailor the offense to Darnold’s strengths.

- Darnold can continue to grow going into his first offseason with an the playbook and system to study and work with.

Not the year we wanted but plenty of reasons to be hopeful. Ended strong.

At 6-2, the New York Jets had the best second-half record in the league behind only the #1 Seed Baltimore Ravens.  This after 18 players on IR, no kicker, no QB for a month, a dozen different offensive linemen, and every reason in the world for this franchise of perennial losers to quit on the coach and pack it in before Halloween.

We just have 1 guy that we need to have the offseason of his career. Mr. Joe Douglas, please be mine & every Jet fans hero! 

1st he has to sell the New York Jets to the available free agents he targets & 2nd he has to have the best draft we've had since the Dbrick/Mangold draft.

We need to surround Sam Darnold with a bunch of studs so Sam can get his mojo and ramp up his confidence in the 2020 season. Fix our running game & get some WRs so Sam can play with confidence & learn how to throw from the damn pocket, instead of getting chased out every other play.
