Were all complete garbage yesterday. But all 3 teams have above average O Lines, have a good CB1, and can rush the QB. Oh, and the Pat's cheat, that too. LOL.

Aside from the Ravens, the AFC is wide open. (KC defense is Trash).

Do it, Joe. Fix the O line, and dont even consider a DL for at least 5 years.

Um, I think the Titans having a RB that ran for 160+ might have something to do with that win yesterday.  Just a thought.

Yes, I agree. And Jack Conklin and Co. Blowing people off the line probably slightly contributed to that, yes?

Sound like ground and pound is back baby! Get Rex in here!

people pick on the whole ground and pound strategy but they were successful with an average qb in sanchez and even the2015 team doesn't do as well without a guy like ivory.  last night's patsie game is proof positive.  the titans don't win that game without henry.  if they had to rely on tannenhill, they lose.

KC’s D is 7th in points against in the league.  They beat the Ravens this year.

You are full of hot takes today!

Brady lost because he didn't have a true WR1.  Get Jeudy or Lamb in Round 1 for the Jets....the go OLine in Round 2 and at least one of the 3rd round picks.

You can definitely win with ground and pound, but has to be done right. Great O Line, minimal turnovers, stout D

Meh, they scored 14pts. Not enough to win most weeks and certainly not a sound long term strategy

The one thing yesterday proved is what a top talent QB plays like in the playoffs. Watson was clutch.

He’s incredible.  My favorite nonJets player in the league by a wide margin.  Such a good kid too.  Just a class act and a straight baller.  The clutch gene is strong in that one.  Kid was doing it in college too.

He was masterful last night. That rock’em sock’em robot play he made for the final 3rd down was play of the year worthy.

Exactly.

Also, it’s clear that Gregg Williams could pull ; guys out of a bar and make a decent D-line.

Much much more important keeping Gregg Williams happy and paid what he is worth ie a lot, than whoever the personnel happen to be on that D-line.  What you just witnessed this year was about a $2Mill DL, in total, playing better than the idiotic usual $30Mill+ invested in a DL that can’t rush the passer.

So just keep loading up the Offense as much as possible.  The only look the D should get in the near future is a roll of the dice here and there for a Pass Rusher and CB.

exactly.  and the thing is, when you look at the ravens, they are ground and pound.  jackson may throw the ball but if he didn't have any running ability the ravens wouldn't be that good.  just about all of the playoff teams have decent running games.  they aren't all chuck and duck or coryell air raid types of teams.

That's always been a viable approach to winning football games, however THIS Jets team, as it is currently made up, does not need to lean so heavily on ground and pound. In 2009 and 2010 the ground and pound was our only option because Sanchez was such a terrible QB. Now we have Darnold and he is a much more capable QB. So if we were ever to be a ground and pound team again we wouldn't need it as much, we'd have more versatility with our game plans to pass more often. It's still an excellent approach and I would gladly see the Jets built that way. Just saying with a better QB we have more strategies to use.
